It will be 3 girls ages 21/30/and 31. I have been with my son several times but the two friends that are going with me this time are "first timers".

On previous trips I never felt out of place riding or doing things that are considered for kids. eg. character dinners etc. I really enjoy some of the kiddy rides (Goofy's Barnstormer) and love the character dinners. Do you think we will be treated differently if we partake in any of these activities?

Any comments?

Thanks,
Marcy

P.S. We are just a bunch of kids at heart!!!!

I hope not because bf and I are going and we are planning to do all the kiddie stuff while there. We are 25 and 27. We have 3 character meals planned and mnsshp too!

I should say that I never felt out of place before because I had my son with me but this time no kiddo's.

Absolutely go act like kids!! The day I stop being a kid at heart I know my kids will probably wonder what happened to their real Mim!! Disney is the best place to put all your worries behind and really have fun and part of that is doing all the great things like character meals, etc.

Go and have a Wonderful Vacation!!

Of course you should!!! Disney is a perfect place for grown-ups who are kids at heart. I am actually in the same boat for the first time too. I am going with my mom, 2 sisters, and cousin who are all over 21--a ladies (3 are moms) only trip, and it is their frist time to WDW too. We can't wait to partake in everything we want that Disney has to offer! We are also doing 2 character breakfasts. :teeth: I was a little concerned too about people seeing a group of 5 adult ladies waiting to get on Dumbo, and other fantasyland rides, but we love to ride them too!

I do not think that anyone will treat you (us) any differently. I am sure that by now they are used to it, and everyone just loves seeing people of all ages having fun. That is what Disney is all about!! :cheer2: :yay:

I had visions in my head of adults with kids saying things like what are they doing here (at the character dinner) or they don't need to ride this etc.

It is nice to know that we are the only kids at heart!

A couple of friends and I went to WDW in January. We declared ourselves princesses and wore tiaras. Disney is for everyone! Have fun! :goodvibes:

YOU BE YOU CAN! The first year we went, my mom was most excited about going to Epcot. When didn't know there were character greetings in the park. A character bus snuck up on us and we were both really excited about seeing Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Pluto, Dopey and several others. My mom was about 10 feet behind me and she was like, 'ANGI LOOK!' She ran (or at least hurried quickly to catch up with me). As she ran past me, she grabbed my hand and we were off and running to meet THE MOUSE AND FRIENDS!! I still kid her to this day how I have footprints on my back of where she ran over me that day in Epcot!

My mom and I particularly love character dinings. OUr very first character dining was at Crystal Palace for breakfast. I think the characters played with us just as much as the tables that had children.

As long as your don't run over small children, you'll be alright! ;)

My DH has never been to WDW. :sad2: He has never had the desire to go. I"ve been 6 times with our children and other family members. So I finally talked him into it for our 24th anniv. I have character meals planned and I am seriously contemplating buying an autograph book. I absolutely plan to show him WDW through a childs eyes. MINE! :rotfl: So, do go and have a MAGICAL time!! My DH and I are :wave2:

Of course! as a previous poster said, Disney is for "the young at heart of all ages!"

It's the number one honeymoon destination, so it sounds to me like lots of adults love this place, too. :)

DBF and I will be there this August. It is our favorite place to go. We will be enjoying some "adult" things like Adventurer's Club, Signature dining, and the Mandara Spa, but YOU BET we're also doing everything else! Crystal Palace Breakfast with Winnie the Pooh, and my favorite Eeyore! Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern with Colonial Minnie Mouse :) We will be riding Dumbo and It's a Small World and I will definitely be wearing my gold sequin Minnie Mouse ears.

I'll tell you what I told my nephew (who I will be visiting while we're at WDW) I will go on any ride that my bottom will fit in! I don't care if it's a dark ride, a kiddie ride or a fling you upside down ride. I love them all.

Get yourselves some ears or tiaras and a camera and have a *great* time!

At Disney, every age group is allowed to act like kids. Its an unwritten rule. As soon as you cross over those front welcome gates, you're back to being a 5 year old! Have lots of fun!! :goodvibes

This is our #6 trip to Disney. We don't have kids, never been to Disney with kids and every trip has been great! You all will have a great time, too! People won't give you a hard time. It's called MAGIC!! pixiedust:

Hi! I agree with everyone else. Just for for it! Most of my trips have been without kids. My last trip (December 2006) was my first trip with a child when my sister & I took her son. On all of my trips I have gotten in line to get my picture taken with the characters and gone on any rides that I wanted to. I have always had a great time. Go, have fun, and enjoy!

I think it should be a rule that you must act like a child. I have taken several trips thru the years with my girlfriends and I cherish those times aswell as the times with my family. Go and act like a kid and enjoy every minute of it.

Marcy Mouse.... Have a wonderful visit! At WDW there is no age (other than when you are buying a ticket :rotfl: ). You can ride anything as Lululovesdisney says that you can fit your bottom into!

For years 2 friends of mine and I used to go on a yearly trip called BFW... Best Friends Week. It started out as Best Friends Week-end, but that wasn't long enough! We never made it to Disney which is sad, but where ever we went we had a blast. We would turn into 12 year olds! Stay up late, eat everything that was bad for us, talk about anything and everything, and laugh the entire time. In 2000 one of my BF's died unexpectedly. She and I were more like sisters than friends, and had been since 5th grade. Anyway, those memories of BFW's are very precious to me.

Go with your friends, turn into 12 year olds, ride all the rides, stay up late, eat lots of icecream, talk all night, and laugh laugh laugh!

I agree wholeheartedly as well. You absolutley must act like a kid. DH and I are 28 and this is the only place we vacation because you can act like a kid. For any adults who are there with kids and look at us like we are strange TOOOO BAD. The DH even has an autograph book he takes with him everytime. And will stand in line for characters and im right there with him taking his pics!!! :thumbsup2

Oh hon you are living my dream! I would love to go to WDW with all adults! The best thing about WDW is EVERYONE is a kid again! Its the one place I can put my hair in two braids and look normal! lol Go have fun being a kid again!!
Now I have to figure out how to get to WDW without kids, I think I would have mutinay(sp?) on my hands if they found out..lol

If there is any place you earth you can act like a kid, Disney is it!! It doesn't matter if you are 5 or 105! In December it was just me (24) and my best friend (23) and we had a blast!! We did every ride in Fantasyland and did 3 different character meals. We love meeting and interacting with the characters! Just let go of your pride and remember you only live once! Have fun!
