Okay this is my first trip report so please be easy on me I'm going to give this a try. Actually this is my first time to disney world so that makes this even harder.

I'm going to try to break this down so anyone who takes the time to read (thank you!) won't go crosseyed!

Day 1 2/27
After driving for 10 hours straight, we arrive at POP at 7:00 in the morning. Our plan was to leave the luggage and just check in to get our tickets to head to the parks. We'll they suprised us by saying that our room was already ready that we could go and unpack YEAH! We had an excellent room in the 50's building that was a short walk to everything! So we get settled and head for AK.

It was the best we jumped on EE first and this ride is just awesome! My good friend is terrified of rides like this, but after some major convincing we got her on it. She loved it, it is not to jerky and has really only one major drop.

Then we headed off for a few more rides before we used our fastpass and went to ride EE again. When we got there the dream team was giving fastpasses to people getting off, but of course by the time we rode and got off they were gone. Oh well I was in Disney world I couldn't be too bummed! We manage to get in all the rides and some shows that we waned to see in less than two hours we never waited for anything that crowds were that low. I was too excited about the crocs on the safari ride and I mean the animal not the shoe, but I quickly got over that!
So we manage to snag a shot with launchpad and we were on our way to take a nap before ADR at Whispering Canyon

Well since we had an extra hour to spare my dh and his bf decided to hop over to MGM and get a ride in before so we headed to ToT. This was the ride I was dreading going on because I love roller costers, but this one scared me.
i00050-1.jpg

The wait time was only 5 min so we jumped on and I was ready to jump out of my skin! It was awesome once I opened my eyes. The only thing was that everytime you thought the ride was over you would start dropping again. I thought I was safe when we saw the screen again, but no we were dropped one final time. The only way I could describe me on that ride was to picture a cat falling down a tree and can't get his grip. Well I looked like that my hands and feet were everywhere!

I can't say enough about WC we did wait an extra 20 min even with ADR's but that was okay because I was exploring WL. That place is amazing and so quiet!

i00068.jpg

The meal was really good even though I am not a big barbque fan, but everything was really good! My dh knows I like ketchup on my mashed potatos and guess what he shouted to the waitress, " MY WIFE NEEDS KETCHUP!" Well a picture is worth a thousand words so here you go

i00070.jpg

The dessert was awesome I had the smore cheescake but I couldn't finish it all! Sorry about the picture but I had already started eating before I thought to take a picture.

The end of the first day was great we had a wonderful meal and headed to DTD where I wanted everything I saw! We did get a few photo ops.

Just decided to slow down and see what the trip had in store for us before I broke the bank. We did get a wonderful suprise when we came back to our room they delivered us some balloons and a signed card by Mickey & Minney in front of the jukebox which is where we were staying! I was on :cloud9:...I will update more tomorrow hopefully with more pictures to make this a little more exciting.

Great start! Looks like you had a great first day. I can't believe how much energy you had after 10 hours of driving. I LOVE the Everest pictures and the Pirate picture. Looking foward to reading more!popcorn::

GREAT pictures of EE! I'm never brave enough to take my camera out on that one--I'm afraid it would go flying off as an offering to the Yeti. ;)

Can't wait to see more! Oh, and isn't the ketchup call fun?

I'm loving your TR! Your pics are wonderful...still laughing about the ketchup one! :rotfl: Can't wait to read more! :wizard:

I agree that those pictures of EE are awesome! I'm going to make a mental note to do that next time. Usually I have my bag + my camera all wrapped up around my leg or something b/c I'm terrified to drop it! I want to be brave and take great pictures like that!

Loving the report.... And the pics of course!

Well my dh was the one who took those pictures, I was hunkering down in the seats like a chicken!

Thank you so much for all of the feedback I wasn't sure if anyone wanted to read this so it has inspired me to keep going!

Okay after the much needed sleep from the night before we got up and headed to MGM for the day cause we didn't want to be there for ESPN weekend. I left a wake up call for 6:30 and was greated to stitch that morning. Not everyone was happy with me for that!:lmao:

Well my dh and his bf decided that we should start the morning off slow so we rode RnR. Really great ride, but the take off really freaked me out! We couldn't convince his wife to ride it so I was the lone woman on this one. If you ever wanted to know "how bad is this ride?" Just check out this picture which they take during the intial take off.

Finally the after picture after browsing through the giftshop for 30 min. We made it out of there and I'm happy to say I still have all arms and limbs.

Since the crowds were so low ( we had only waited about 2 or 3 min for any ride) we decided to take it easy. Well that wasn't in the cards since it was decided we had to make our way to Star Tours. All I can say about that ride is why didn't I take my dramamine (sp?). It made me very sick and that is a hard thing to do! All was well when we went outside and saw....Darth Vader! We were a little upset because we couldn't take pictures with him since the line was already roped off, but we got a few good shots anyway.

i00112.jpg

After this we ended up roaming around the streets of NY and San Francisco for awhile since they were pratically empty! My husband decided to ham it up for the camera since he was wearing the appropriate shirt.

i00124.jpg

The streets were beautiful and lots of photo ops.!
i00120.jpg

All was lost when we turned the corner and saw BUZZ! Since there was no line and usually we don't take pictures if children are waiting since we are adults well some of us maybe....we decided to go for it!

i00126.jpg

We even managed to get a little one on one time with the army man!

i00131-1.jpg

Then we headed for the muppets show and this one is really cute, but I was kind of disappointed because in the theatre where the booth is that says closed key under mat...well I went looking under the mat, but no key....oh well. I did get a pic. of one of my childhood heros

i00132.jpg

We finally decided it was time for lunch and against my better judement I let my friends talk me into eating at ABC comm. Let me say this I loved just about everything I ate at disney, but I wouldn't let my dog eat here. Everyone ordered cheesburgers and I ordered the Cuban sandwhich we all had chocolate mousse for dessert. It was AWFUL!!! The drinks you couldn't even get a refill on! I will stay far far away from this place it was this worse food I've had by far anywhere.

I think at this point in the day we had done most of the things we wanted to in MGM so everyone suprised me by saying that we should go to the MAGIC KINGDOM! Now it had been my dream since I was a little girl to see the castle since I was a little girl. My parents were usually too busy and didn't have a lot of money to dream to take us somewhere like this so I thought I would never get to see it! Well we rode the bus to the Cont. and rode the monorail to MK.

All I could say was WOW! I had tears in my eyes when I saw the tips of the castle because I had finally completed one of the things I really wanted to do in life. Everything was gorgeous! Even the flowers at the train station!

i00136.jpg

The moment finally had arrived I was within inches of the castle and I felt like a little child on Christmas morning.

i00144.jpg

i00150.jpg

After getting over my rush of the castle we decided it was time to ride HM! I was so excited to ride this one because over the years it has been one of the things I wanted to do most!
i00153.jpg

The place was beautiful and my wonderful friends forgot to tell me that there is one paticular gravesone that actually moves. I think one of the butlers there got a kick out of watching me so he decided to scare me to death. Once we enetered inside and after all the lights went out he came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder and said be wary. I nearly came our of my skin which everyone else thought was hysterical. The ride was great eventhough we were stuck for about 2 min near the beginning. I did manage to find the "ring" everyone was talking about outside..

i00401-1.jpg

After that we had to ride POC to see the new additions to the ride. Capt. Sparrow looked so real you would swear that it was actually him! The new davey Jones addition was really great! I think it was some point after that ride we decided on going to the Pirate and Princess party...the rest of the day was wonderful including my first trip on Space mountain (the let me ride in the front!). Of course I finally finally got to ride in those dang teacups!

i00161.jpg

We had to hurry because we had ADR at Mama Melrose in MGM that evening. We had a wonderful meal there and I would definatly give this one a try. The pasta which was only suppose to come with chicken or shrimp was excellent and the waitress let me add both with no extra charge! The tiramsu was really yummy!

i00163.jpg

It was late after we finished dinner and the park was already closed so it felt really spooky in there. I did manage one last shot of the hat.

i00166.jpg

We also were able to get a few photo ops that we would not do if there were a lot of people there...this was after a little vino...

i00169.jpg

We made it back to the room and had a suprise waiting on us the Towel animals!!!

i00174.jpg

All in all it was a wonderful day, but I was really tired. So of course a tired body always needs alcohol! We ended up hitting the bar at the hotel and found out that Chocolate Martini's are unheard of at disney. Oh well we still had a nice time and I now have a new favorite drink Sunken Treasure.

Hopefully will update tomorrow for those of you still reading by now, "Bless your Heart! You made it through my ramblings!"
