And not that game.

I love to play board games, cards, etc., but it's hard to find a game that is just for two people. Can you recommend any games for us? Thanks!

O.K. You are going to think this is really stupid. But DH and I really have fun playing the kids' games. We especially like Connect Four and Guess Who.

connect four rocks....my son and I play that all the time.

how about chess, checkers, backgammon, cribbage (my fav)

I'm a chess and scrabble addict, but DW isn't that big of a fan of either, so I usually get my fix online :teeth: We occassionally play Trivial Pursuit, Boggle (why she likes this and not Scrabble, I'll never know), Yatzee, Scene It (a blast), and a few others.

(ETA...Forgot to add Rummy and Cribbage, too :) )

Uno or skip-bo? We used to play those alot but I bet they are more fun with more players

scrabble, upwords, boggle, csi, connect four, skip bo, chess, checkers. We love those.

We like:
Pass the Pigs
Scene It (Disney and original)
Trivial Pursuit (there is a Disney one out too)
Disney Trivia
Boggle
Scrabble
Scattergories
Nsync Backstage Pass (ok, just seeing if you're paying attention) :rotfl2:

ETA: We also have Beer dice that were in packaging that looks just like a mug full of beer. On the back of the package, it says 'Not to be used with alcoholic beverages.' :confused3

Sequence
backgammon
mancala
yahtzee :thumbsup2

My DH and I love to play games together. We actually have a huge closet in our rec room that is filled with our games. Here are some of our favorites for just the two of us:

Scene It is fun as others have mentioned. Another great movie game is star crossed. You have to make connections between films by actors, or actors by films, depending on the category. It can be a little hard, but we end up with big long flow charts. Only problem is, DH usually wins!

Other movie themed games we like are directors cut and movie mania.

Scrabble, Rummikub, Backgammon, Othello, Stratego

Outburst, all the Trivial Pursuits of course, Jenga, 25 words or less, Tribond, I love Scattegories when I can get DH to play (I always win this one!).

On vacations we always bring a travel yahtzee kit.

We usually play chess, checkers, battleship, yahtzee or the card game phase 10.

We like all those too (except I haven't played Cribbage), but don't see how you can compare Boggle to Scrabble. Scrabble you have to think it through and plan ahead. Boggle is an adrenaline type game. My husband caves to the pressure of the egg timer. :lmao: Also Scattegories is a favorite.
