Adult Family Travel?

Hi y'all,

We are planning our first WDW trip, after being lifelong Disneyland folks. My college graduation is in Orlando (my school does its Winter ceremony there) in January of 2015, and my mother will be getting her Master's degree in the same ceremony. We will be traveling with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, my fella and I, all adults. My brother's 21st birthday will also be during the trip. We are very excited but totally overwhelmed. Are there any suggestions for things that adult shouldn't miss in the parks? We are not big character people, but we are planning on staying on property and doing the dining plan. We are leaning towards a value resort to save money, but we will have separate rooms,not a suite.

Any tips?

How wonderful! I think you will probably want to spend your brothers twentyfirst birthday in the World Showcase in Epcot. You could attempt a 'drink around the world' type activity, share drinks so you can try more of them. 2015 is a long way off so you have plenty of time to plan and research. Spend some time on the boards, and also get yourself a guidebook. I still really like reading through "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". They provide descriptions of each attraction and ratings for the attraction by age group. They also provide touring strategies and lots of details on the different hotel options. Overall a very helpful book.

I agree, January 2015 is a long way off. I also suggest you buy a good WDW guidebook and start reading. I like Birnbaum's WDW guides.

I love the unofficial guide and passporters..buy them next year and enjoy!! I am hoping we can go in 2015 as well.....
