I will be at the DLH the last week in June for a convention, a bunch of us want to visit a park on that Wednesday night. We are trying to decide which one to go to, the make or break might be alcohol. I'm thinking I heard somewhere that DL doesn't sell alcohol but DCA does. Is this true?

Also what are some good drinks at that bar in the DLH?

Thanks

Correct. .. No alcohol is sold in DL (except Club 33). DCA has some great options. .. especially at The Cove Bar and Carthay Circle.
Trader Sams in the DLH has some excellent choices.

At traders sam's personally I'm a fan of the tiki tiki tiki tiki rum:drinking1

We love the Cove Bar. Get the (secret menu) Zombie drink and lobster nachos!!! One of the highlights of our last trip for sure!

Ugh, sorry. That top one is from Disney Tourist Blog, you can google it. :) (I'm on the iPhone app so can't edit!)

Another vote for the Carthay Circle lounge. Get something with an ice sphere, just for the novelty of watching them make it.

Also, it's outside the parks, but the Uva Bar in DD is an awesome place for an adult beverage and food.

Sorry to be slightly off topic - DD will be 20 when we go - I know she cannot drink alcoholic beverages but would she be welcomed into all of these places - would they ask for ID if she isn't drinking?

Although she has been drinking over here in the UK legally for 2 years, she will be happy to drink a non alcoholic cocktail.

I believe the only places she can't go is Inside Trader SAMs in the evening and she cannot sit at the bar at the Cove bar. She can sit at the table with you. (Btw my favorite there is the Habanero Margarita!) my younger kids have been with me at the Carthay bar, wine bar by wine trattoria, trader SAMs outside, cove bar (various trips ...not all one trip!!) :)

Trader Sams? If so, I love the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, tiki, Tiki, Rum & the Pirahana Pool!! :)

I always stop in at the Al Fresco Lounge (upstairs from Wine Country Trattoria). It's a full bar, you can order off of the Wine Country Trattoria menu, and it's never very crowded. Doesn't open until 4pm though...
