Well ...here it is our last day
..boo hoo.
We get up and check out around 10:00 am. We head over to the Poly to have breakfast at Kona Café. After breakfast I suggest we take one last walk around the resort. We absolutely loved this resort and are going to try to stay here next year if we can afford it. We take a walk down to the beach and reminisce about the fun times at the luau and dbfs encounter with the zombie...lol
We check out the different buildings and talk about which one we want to stay in ..checked out the pool area and head back to catch a bus to DD. Go to DD and do some shopping. Dbf ends up spending over $100 at Basin. I get some gifts for my nephews and friends at the Disney store and head over to Fultons for lunch. Figure we might as well go out with a bang .because we wont be eating like this again for awhile. $100 lunches and dinners are generally not in our budget. We have a great lunch at Fultons and figure wed stroll through some shops before we catch out bus back to the resort. We have to meet Mears at 5:00 so we figure as long as we leave by 4:00 we should have no problem. Last year we ended up running to catch our Mears bus because we got back late. Catch the bus at exactly 4:00 .ok everything is going smoothly .we thought. Well the bus has to stop at PI where we wait a few minutes for our bus to change drivers. Ok...we still have time. Then we have to stop at TL .oops forgot about this...ok well well be cutting it close but well still make it. Pull out of TL and guess what???? Traffic jam...oh no.!!! Well we end up getting back to the resort at 5:45. 45 min late. Luckily there is another Mears van there and I run up to ask the driver if he can take us. He is very nice and waits while we grab our luggage. On to the Mears van and to the airport. Our trip is officially over. Im so sad.
The one thing that consoles me is that dbf agreed to book the comeback rate for AKL for Sept. Ok, I guess I can make it another 6 mos.
I hope everyone had enjoyed our trip reports. I will post here again after our trip in Sept.
