Adult child - AP - ethics/rules

APs have tax. My limited understanding is that I can order from Shades of Green, in advance, and not pay the tax. Military 4 day Hopper Plus + a 5 day hopper ( so 2 for each person) is cheaper than a DVC AP + waterpark. I blew it not getting a PAP for DD in January. Never occurred to me that she would be eleigible under DVC rules. Now I know.
The service member can also buy the tickets on post at the ITT office and will not be charged tax and will get the voucher that can be linked in MDE

The control freak part of me prefers to handle the ticket transaction. If she bought them, I would have to giver her a CC# (would the military let her use someone else's card - that seems not okay) or send $1,000 in one form or another. And then I would worry that she would get tied up; not fully understanding the imperative need to have those tickets in hand prior to the 60 day window. It might be the easiest solution in the end. I hear there are all sorts of modern ways to move money from one lace to another.

Well I have never ordered from shades of green as I always walk in to the ITR on post and get the vouchers, but I would imagine that unless you have a military ID they will not sell them to you. Again, I haven’t ordered from them but anytime you do anything with MWR (the people who, among other things, run shades of green) you have to present a valid military ID. So you may run into the same problems with her having to do it through them as well.

I came across a form that the military members need to fill out (attesting to their service, rank, etc) that can be faxed. They need to be present with their IDs to activate the tickets in WDW.
