ADR's

Hello,

I have a couple questions. I apologize in advance if they have been covered. I have been reading alot of the posts , but there are so many!
First, I have an October WDW vacation planned. I can call in July for ADR's. What is the earliest time I can call that day to make the ADR's? Is this new automated online ADR booking a good thing? Will I have more of a chance getting my choice of restaurant? How long, if I call super early, do you expect I will wait on hold to talk with someone to make the reservations? Also, are most of you planning to use online, or see how it goes before making that jump? Thank you SO much. I really appreciate any and all info. Have a great day!

I called at 7:30am on the Sat. that I was able to start making my reservations. I don't know how early you can call. I was on hold for about 40 minutes. I have not tried the online booking so I don't know how well that works. I prefer talking to someone b/c we have a party of 7 and my teens wanted to eat at different resturants or at the same resturant, but not with us and the little ones so my reservations seemed complicated and I didn't want to have any mistakes made by me.
