5. THIS october? Make your reservations for table service NOW. IMMEDIATELY. If next Oct. it's 180 days out plus 10 for staying onsite I think. Make them at least 6 months in advance....190 outs is best :)

Would you recommend this for a December booking too? We are going Dec 14-21st, but can't sit down with the folks we are going with until early November because they are busy closing on their first house.

Will I still be ok at 6 weeks out? We got the one for the Candlelight processional (LE Cellier 2 pm ressie for 5 pm show) already but I do have to call them back once I have made the reservations for the dining plan(currently they have it listed as OOP).

I also made a ressie for the Rose and Crown pub at 8pm for one of the nights (we love this location for Illuminations). I have plans for where we want to go each night, but I cannot finalize the plans until after they move. Basically not sure if they will agree with what I have in mind. I also want to have backup plans in case I cannot get the locations I want, so I am still working through it.

Now I am worried. Maybe I should make ADR's and change them if they don't like the places I picked on the days I picked?

I'd make them now based on what your original plan is. You can always change them if there is availability after you have time to discuss it with the folks. If all fails you'll have your original ADR's. FYI We are going Nov 27-Dec 6 and I made a few of our ADR's 180 days out and the others a few weeks after that. The DDP has made eating at table service restaurants a lot more popular than it used to be.

I also suggest making all your ADR's now and then changing them when you have input from your friends-

I made my ADRs at 180 days out on what I thought was going to happen and have since called back a million times to change things around or alter times as I considered different options. It's super easy to change and it's easier to make them now and say to your friends "this is what I have, anything else you have in mind?" as opposed to "we could try to get x, y, or z" and then being stuck with a smaller number of choices/times.

I agree, you should make reservations. It seems since the dining plan has been available, the TS restaurants are hard to get reservations for. You could always change them if you want but at least you have something. WDW decorates wonderfully for the Christmas holliday. Have a great time!!
