ADRs for August are done!

And it took almost half an hour!! I think the CM was new. Either that or she is just very cautious! I have never been on the phone that long actually booking things! NONE of the call was hold time. I booked 12 things, but in the past when I have booked that many it only took 15 minutes.

I was able to get everything I wanted, mostly at the times I wanted. It seems to be harder to book for a party of 5 than for a party of 3. Fewer large tables, I guess.

I was asked if I will be using the dining plan, and she wanted to know which meals were cash and which were plan credits. BUT she also said they don't base availablility on method of payment. Kind of odd. Someone was speculating the other day that there might be tables allocated for dining plan and others for cash because they got "the last table" several times. I got "the last table" at least once, maybe twice. At any rate, we are all set! Just 180 days 'til departure!!

We are shameless TS junkies, so here's what we booked:
Breakfasts:
Crystal Palace (returning)
Donald's (returning)
Chef Mickey's (first time for breakfast)
Boma (first time for breakfast)
We'll try to add the H&V breakfast when they open to ADRs.

Dinners:
H&V (returning)
Kona (returning)
Le Cellier (first time)
50's Prime Time (returning)
Boma (returning)
Whispering Canyon (first time)
Coral Reef (first time)
1900 Park Fare (first time for dinner)

I was a little worried about the things for the front half of the trip because people arriving the week before us already had the chance to book those, but it worked out fine.

We arrive the night of 8/3 and come home late afternoon on 8/12.

Congrats! I hope I don't have as much trouble, since we didn't go with the dining plan. But I would be a little disappointed if I find out they're saving tables for dining plan folks. It still should be first-come-first-serve as far as ADR's go, right?

Just when I think I know what I'm doing, they always throw a wrench at me! JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH!

Congratulations! I'm making our ADR's next saturday. Like you, I'm a bit afraid one dinner at a popular place will be already booked up for early in our trip but I'm not rescheduling our 16th anniversary for it! BTW, we're meeting at the MK for the rope drop that day (the 11th), right? The spouses will understand... I had my plans all charted out based upon last summer's EMH schedule for those same days, now with this years EMH's being different, I need to spend some serious time this week and revamp our itenerary ...

that's great! We've got another 3 weeks before I book and I'm nervous now, we have a family of 5! I hope I'm able to get everything we want!
