ADR's for 16 & split group?

A couple of questions -- has anyone had trouble making ADR's for 16 (we don't mind getting split up) or do I have to go through Grand Gatherings?

Also is it big deal when part of the group is DDP and part of the group is not?

I just made ADR's for 19. The CM told me it would be best to go as a "grand gathering", so it will be noted on the ADR's and they will try to seat us as close as possible. I also reserved a "block" of rooms at POP under the Grand Gathering number, so when everyone called to get ressies, they gave that number and our rooms are all together!

As a server, I know its very hard to group large groups together. At least where I work it is, partys seem to wait longer then smaller groups for table..
