I called yesterday to see if we could change our ADR on Sept 14 to an earlier time b/c of MNSSHP. We are a party of 3. The CM said "nothing available" for dinner all night, but something may open up closer to the date. Do people cancel a lot at the last minute? Should I just keep calling up until our trip or do you think its a waste of time? :confused3 I know its the first night of the Halloween party AND during free dining, so I'm sure it will be packed.

Thanks!

Keep calling. As evidenced by some posters here, there are people who double and triple book ADRs "just to have a backup." The conscientious ones will cancel their extras as their trips grow nearer.

I have been calling daily for weeks to get Garden Grill 9/20-24 and finally got a dinner reservation yesterday so yes, try as often and you can, even more than one time a day.

Keep calling, things do open up. In fact one of the CM's told me the best time to call is right when they open and right before they close. Also try this thread

It is very helpful. I had been trying for months to get an ADR @ Le Cellier and I posted what I was looking for on this thread and one of the Dis'ers on that thread apparently had unknowingly booked 3 times in one week and was nice enough to transfer one of her dinners into my name.

Yes, calling back DOES work. I had been calling for weeks, and a Le Cellier dinner opened up last week and a Coral Reef dinner opened up yesterday.
