ADR's and Room Reservation Linked?

Called to make my ADR's this morning. The dining cast member said she couldn't find my room reservation but would put in the confirmation number I was giving her and they would confirm that the reservation was booked later today.

I called reservations just moments ago and they confirmed my reservation but said that dining wasn't linked to room and the dining cast member shouldn't be able to see my room account

Is this all correct? I'm really worried that my dining reservations I just booked will get deleted because they are not tied to my room reservation or this is going to be a huge mess once we do get down there.

The hotel reservations folks may not know what the restaurant reservations folks can and cannot see. Regardless, a dining CM shouldn't be able to see your room account, but should have a way to validate that a hotel reservation number is valid and applicable to specific dates. (Big difference!) So they were both arguably correct.

I would call back tomorrow and make sure your ADRs are in place. In the future, when dining asks for a hotel reservation number (which they may very well do prior to the 180 day point, to ensure you're eligible for 180+10), make sure that they can validate it with you on the telephone, rather than allowing it to be something confirmed later.

I called at 7:00 this morning for ADR's for my Nov/Dec trip. The CM never asked for my resort reservation#. She asked the resort name, check-in date, and phone number. Maybe the ressies are located by phone number? I booked all of my ADR's from 11/26 through 12/2.

i made my ADR's about three weeks ago. I leave in 5 days. Should I call and confirm these ADR's?
