Hi everyone,
Totally new here and taking our first trip October 30-Nov 5. We are super excited! We can start making our ADR's on Sunday. So my question is, do you make your ADR's and then plan which park you will be in around that or for example, do you decide I want to be in Epcot on Sunday so I'm going to look at those restaurants if that makes sense.
We are traveling with our two young daughters (ages 6 and will be turning 3 on the trip). I want to be fairly flexible because of their ages. I have an idea of some restaurants we want to try. . .BOG, Ohanas, Askershus, 1900 Park Fare, maybe Hollywood and Vine. But just trying to figure out which day we want to do those.

Thanks so much for your input!!

We always do a park hopper on our tickets. This way we can do whatever park and eat at wherever without having to plan this way. If you don't do the park hopper then you will have to plan your ADR's for which parks you are planning on attending on those days. You never know when things may come up and you change your parks around or whatever else.

Ok that helps! We do have the park hopper (got the free dining plan) so that will be helpful. So basically I pick my restaurants and then plan my days around them?

You can do that. We always look a EMH and go from there. Sometimes it is hit or miss for us. We are going for 12 days this time so we planned our ADR's first then we will decide which parks since we will be there for a while. If we were only going for 5-7 days then we would stick with planning around EMH.

I plan my days based EMH, then book ADRs. Although, if you really have your heart set on a hard to get reservation, sometimes you have to be flexible and take what you can get.

I always plan per crowd calendars (easywdw.com is my preferred). When I know what days are recommended I start my schedule of what parks and what days. From there I start to chose my ADRs.

This is what our family does. I also use easywdw.com to plan park days then schedule ADR's around that. We do have park hoppers so if there are any last minute changes to our park days, I do not have to change ADR's.

We are planning days around EMH, then ADR's will be planned based on where we plan to be at that point. I think we have redone our ADR's about 6 times now??

I plan my Park says around EMH then make ADRs.

So when you say you plan around EMH do you choose to go the park that has EMH that day (or do you pick a different park?) Some things I've read said avoid the park that day because everyone else is going to the park that has the EMH.

Thanks!

We go on EMH. It's a perk we utilize. If it's a morning EMH we will do a park breakfast if available. Evening EMH we plan the area. Boardwalk or monorail resorts. Then head back into the park.

This time I wanted some breakfasts in the parks, so we chose some places we could eat at before the park opened and enjoy a little quiet time in the park walking to those restaurants. I do look at things I want to do each day and book based on the parks we want to be in. Since we are there for F&W and MNSSHP we based some decisions on being at those events. Good luck!

We plan our ADR's based on what park we will be at. We choose parks based on crowd calendars. We never park hop because, for us, it's a waste of time going from park to park, and we always have more than enough to do at 1 park per day
