ADR + Resort cancellation?

I’ve seen some posts about fast passes being canceled when a resort reservation is canceled. I wanted to check if the same happens with ADRs?

We have a week long family trip coming up, and my husband and I plan to fly down a couple days in advance. Will we be able to make ADRs (for us and the rest of the family) 180 days from our first check in date? And if so, if for some reason we end up not getting down there early, is there any risk that the ADRs for our 2nd reservation will get canceled?

I'm pretty sure that only applies to FP+ in certain situations, not to ADRs.

Anyone can make ADRs regardless of where you're staying, so there's no reason those should be cancelled. I've never heard of people using a resort reservation as a loophole for ADRs - or at least they wouldn't be cancelling the room until much later than the 180+10 days, so it's a non-issue for ADRs.
