Hey all,

We (a family of 5) will be heading down for two weeks in August, and I will be joined by another family of three, making us a total of 8 people. I want to make ADR's for 8 for each night we intend to eat out. No problem there.

My question concerns the family of three. There is a small chance they may not be able to come with us. Now, I would know this well in advance, not at the last minute, but I don't want to wait to make my ADR's, since I know where I want to eat.

If I make an ADR for 8, and then need to drop 3 people off, do I just call Disney Dining and advise them, or do they need to go through the process of finding availability at a time I like all over again, then cancel the ADR of 8?

TIA

You just need to call Disney Dining and make them aware of the change. It's no problem to drop the number of people on a reservation, the real problem can be adding people, depending on where and when you're eating.

If you are making ADRs where a credit Card is required due and will be charged in case of a no show or lack of cancellation within 24 hours, they may ding you if you drop 3 within that 24 hours. But you stated that you would have ample time, so I do not see any issues makng the ADR for 8 and droppng 3 a few das before.
