We are going to Disney, staying on property, Oct 23rd. The trip was booked by my parents through AAA. I want to be able to make our ADRs, but I just have a few questions (its been 2 years since we have stayed on property, and my memory isn't that great!). I know you can make them 180 out, but I read the other day that its 180 + 10 so really 190 days out? Also, since the reservations were made by my parents, and with AAA, what information do I need when making the ADRs?

TIA

I believe if you are staying on Disney Property it's 180 plus 10. You just need your name to make ADR's and they will give you a confimation number. You do need a credit card to book certain dinner shows and the Castle.

It is not 190...

180 + 10 means that 180 days from the day you check in you can make reservations for the next 10 days. If you were not onsite, you would have to call every day at 180 to get those reservations.

So you call 180 days from day 1 of your vacation. Then you can book for days 1-10 of that vacation.

You will need to get your Disney reservation number from AAA.

Ok, thanks for the info! One last question - what time can I start calling? I'm on the east coast if that makes a difference... ;)

You can start online reservations at 6am eastern. Phone lines open at 7am eastern.

Could you please tell me exactly how you calculate the 180th day? For instance, if counting backwards from today, would I count today as day 1 and continue that way till I hit 180? It seems like it's so simple - but I've used 2 different ADR calculators and one gave me April 8 as the day to make ADR's for an Aug 7 check-in - and another gave me April 9. Don't want to miss out on my window of opportunity! The last 2 times we've been we've used a TA who took care of everything. This time we're renting DVC points, so I'm on my own.
Will have to be a little late for work on one of those days - can't do it on 2 days if I miscalculate....
Thanks for any advice.

This is the calculator I have always used. For an August 7th check in it shows your 180 ADR day at 2/8.

Oh Good Lord!
This is the one I used and it gave me the date of 02/09 to make my ADR's. Have it hanging right up on my fridge...
Just realized that I input 2012 instead of 2011!:crazy2:
Thanks for putting me straight!
