Hi! I have some ADR's already booked for our upcoming trip. BUT, hubby and I don't like to always plan every single meal ahead. In the past we used kiosks in Epcot to book restaurants while in the park. Does anyone know if these are still in operation? Many thanks in advance for your replies! :goodvibes

When you say you used "kiosks," did you mean the podium in front of each table service restaurant? Or, did you mean free-standing, guest services kiosks?

It depends on when your trip is planned as far as ADR availablity. If you going during a busy period vs slower period. With the dining plan, restaurants are getting completely booked in advance. So, if you do plan on going without ADR's, you'll have to be prepared that you will not have alot of options. You can call WDW Dining on your cell or from your resort to inquire/make ADR's. Program the number into your cell phone.

Good luck!

Thanks... I know about the need for ADR's and have made sure the restaurants we didn't want to miss are already reserved. I was just curious if those stands or kiosks or whatever they were called were still available in the parks (I used the Epcot ones) to make ressies. Thanks again!

I believe the kiosks are all gone. We tend to use our cell phone while in the park to check on available ADRs.

The Kiosks have been gone or rather not used for MANY MANY years now. I think given the ADR situation that exists today they should really bring them back and in fact expand them.
They are really needed for people who have NOT made ADRs to keep them from wandering from place to place to try to get in somewhere.

Hey Disney, are you listening?

Thanks for the info... hubby and I used them probably about 3 or 4 years ago. I guess I'll just use the cell phone, but there's always a wait for a CM. I don't know why Disney has not created some type of online booking system to help with the volume. For example, there is a website called OpenTable and you can reserve at restaurants by time and date.

As a side note, I think it's really a shame that you have to plan your whole trip months in advance just to be able to dine at the sit down restaurants. I think Disney really needs to rethink the whole thing in order to accommodate the number of guests who want to eat at their restaurants.

You Disers have been really helpful... THANKS! :thumbsup2
