ADR question

we have an ADR for chef mickeys for my family (5) and my friend's family (3). What happens if my friend, for some reason, can't make it? We have a table for 8 reserved, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Nothing will happen...just tell them as soon as you know so they can perhaps open the bigger table for a party that needs it.

Shouldn't be a problem. I think the problem would be if you had an ADR for five and eight showed up. Last Sept we saw a group turned away at Le Cellier because they showed up with an extra family (went from four people to seven).
