I just made an ADR at the Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. I'm not exactly sure that we will make the ADR but better safe than sorry right?

The "fine print" for the ADR states:

"A credit card is required to guarantee this meal; the full price of ordered meals will be charged if you cancel within one day of the reservation or are a "no show" for the reservation"

I didn't give any credit card information??? I WILL NOT be on the Disney dining plan.

So - what gives?? If I can't make the reservation I would certainly do my absolute best to cancel it but if I don't - then what??

I'm new to all this since this is my first Disney trip in 29 years...

Thanks!!!

I made my ressie through WDW dining and they did not make me guarantee with my card nor tell me that. They used to have characters there but I don't believe they do any longer. Maybe that is why that message cued up?! Call 407-934-7639 and talk to a CM. But I do believe I'm telling you correct info. Have a magical trip!

That seems waaay odd. We had ADRs (and ate lunch) at Liberty Tree in September and I know I did not get that message. As long as you did not put your credit card, you should be fine. If you decide against lunch there, you should also call and cancel as soon as you know you will not be eating.

There are a handful of Disney restaurants (or restaurants at Disney) that do require a CC deposit/guarantee. I don't believe LTT is one of those though. CA Grill, Bistro, CRT...not sure of the list - don't think LTT is on that list.

LTT does not require a cc hold to make a reservation.

Something somewhere is wrong with this adr.

I would suggest calling and clarifying with a CM.

LTT (especially lunch) is a 1 TS meal, same as every other 1 TS meal....such as Tony's, Sci-Fi...etc. Even Ohana which is the hottest ticket 1 TS in town.

Nope there is something wrong.

I wonder if it's because I am not on the Disney dining plan? I will have to call and find out what's up. All the ADR's (Fultons, Tony's, Raglan Road) said that down on the bottom in the "fine print".

We are on the Deluxe dining plan and I had to put a credit card down for Akershus Royal Banquet Hall breakfast at Norway.

The only one I had to use ccard on was for Fantasmic, which I understand. But didn't need one for all my others i booked. Not even for LeCellier (which oddly enough was able to book lunch online). Better talk to a CM about this problem to be safe.

LTT is not a CC guarantee, especially for lunch and especially for "full menu price". After all, since lunch is not a fixed price meal, how are they going to know what you'd order?

Most (if not all) restaurants have this messaging somewhere on the confirmation (note: this is concerning online only, phone CMs do not relay that information, but if you pull up that reservation in the system, chances are it will also have the same message). Unless you entered CC information when you booked (all the CC-held and prepaid reservations do this, even when booked with the dining plan) then there is no way they can charge you for breaking the cancellation policy.

Last year's trip, I had roughly 20 dining reservations (DxDDP for 8 nights), each one of them had the same message on them and none were actually CC holds or prepaid.
