We are thinking of adding the dining option on to our length of stay passes. We will book ADR for character meals, but I didn't want to lock down my schedule by booking all of our TS meals. We will be traveling in the value season = lower attendance. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

If you have ayour heart set on eating in a particular restaurant you shjould make an ADR. They're free and you can always cancel later.

Also, you will need an ADR for the most popular restaurants, like CRT, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Prime Time, and Sci Fi.

We don't really have our hearts set on any particular restaurant. What I am wondering is if anyone has travelled to WDW the first week in February? Is is busy enough that we'll have to wait to get seated at a TS restaurant without a ADR or is it fairly slow that we won't run into problems.

It really depends on the restaurant. Some, including the ones I mentioned above, are always packed. In early February there will be many you can walk into without an ADR, but probably not the most popular restaurants and probably not at peak times of day.
