We have free ddp, 21 days, but if we wanted to reserve say 23 restaurants are you allowed to do this and how would it work?

With it being 180 days away, there is one night we are not sure if we want to eat TS, so was wondering whether could book it in just in case, and cancel it say in three months??? Or if we just decide to pay extra for a couple of character breakfasts?

Also what is the cancellation period ... say we are in disney, and have a meal booked for the tuesday, and wake up tuesday morning and do not feel like going to that restaurant, can we cancel that day with no penalty??:goodvibes

There's no penalty as long as it isn't one of the restaurants that you have to put a cash deposit down for. (CRT etc.)

We sadly slept in the day we were meant to go to CP at 8am. (Jack set the alarm wrong :sad2:) And had to phone at 7.50am bleary eyed to apologise. Disney didn't mind but I felt SO dissappointed and guilty for not using our space.

Oh yes I would not mess them around - just you like to know if someone like that happens to us they would be ok about it - or if someone was ill etc. The only two table service we are using is Spirit of Aloha so do you think we should be ok?

I think if you book 2 ADRS for the same time online, it warns you that you already have something booked for that time, and if the party is not split between the two it says you should cancel it. It doesn't prevent you though.
What you're intending would be fine anyway as you wouldn't be double booking. :goodvibes

I was reading a discussion on the dining reservations board about the ethics of double-booking, and there were a surprisingly large number of people who blatantly own up to double booking so they could pick and choose where they fancied on the day  Not surprising was that there were plenty of people who said it was not on. My suggestion was for all ADRs to be held by credit card so it would force people to cancel in time to prevent no-shows at the restaurants they didn't fancy turning up to.

Again, I know that's not what you want to do but I thought it was interesting anyway :goodvibes

Hello, no, as you said that is not my intention, its just that we might want to add another breakfast and dinner and pay for it ourselves :goodvibes

as long as its not double booking ie 2 meals booked different restaurant at same time(if it is dinsey will cancel all your adrs) not a problem
But nothing to stop you booking 3 per day breakfast/lunch/dinner
