Making adrs is frustrating, it is hard to know where you will be, what you will be in the mood for and when you will be hungry months in advance.

That said, we know better than to get there with no plans or we may have very limited options. We go to WDW just about every year and have been in a rut with our adr choices, picking the same standbys over and over. We love them, but I want to try some new places.

We're going the last week in November, no DDP but we will have the TIW for our party of 5.

So far this is what I have lined up -

Arrival day - MK - Crystal Palace dinner (we've been here a gazillion times, may try to change to Be Our Guest if that becomes available).

Day 2 - MK - LTT lunch (have not been here since they got rid of the characters, but want to give it a try again, lunch menu looks decent)

Day 3 - Not sure where we will be during the day - Ohana dinner

Day 4 - Plaza for late lunch/early dinner (new for us) - MVMCP :santa:

Day 5 - Epcot - Via Napoli dinner (new for us)

Day 6 - Not sure about day plans - Nine Dragons dinner (new for us)

Day 7 - Chef Mickey's breakfast - plan to resort hop and see Christmas decorations (hopefully they will be up)

Day 8 - departure - nothing so far, may make an early lunch adr

What do you think? I'm a little bit constricted with a picky eater in the group and also a vegan. I'd be open to anyplace. :thumbsup2

I forgot to mention the vegan doesn't eat mushrooms either, which seems to be the standby vegetarian choice in WDW. I wish there were some more vegetarian/vegan options with beans, different grains, tofu, etc..

You can also note on the reservations that you have a Vegan that is allergic to Mushrooms and they should be able to work with you.

I hear ya. We have the free dining plan for the fall and I just finished planning a 10 day trip. It is hard trying to figure out what parks to be in on which days, what if weather changes etc. Two things that I did that helped were to 1) download the Parks schedule for Nov/Dec (our time period) and made notations for Extra Magical Hours (which parks had early/late hrs and the dates) and 2) I tried to make at least 1/2 of our ADRs at restaurants outside the parks.

By getting the extra magic hours I was able to plan out a fairly realistic schedule for which parks we'd visit and when during the 10 days. By booking Ohana, Hoop Dee Doo, 1900 Park Fare, Boma, and Whispering Canyon it gives us flexibility on those nights that if we change parks we do not have to change ADRs (I don't think we are going to do the park hopper this time - want to save $300+).

It is difficult making reservations almost 6 months prior to going. The only thing more difficult is waiting until a week before and trying to find an ADR that you actually want.
