Be visiting for first time on 9/20-9/24 staying at CBR. DD 2 and DH and I.

We only have two day base ticket. Planned on doing Magic Kingdom two days as I think this will be what DD will like the most?

I know MNSSHP will be on the 22nd while I am there I thought it would probalby not be good to do park that day since we will just booted out early anyway. So do park Monday 21st and Wed 23?

On sunday after we check in just thought about doing DTD and eat there.

Monday morning
8:00 Crystal Palace to take advantage of being in park early!
Lunch just something quick at park or back at resort for rest.
Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe time???

Tuesday
Chef Mickey bfast
lunch just resort
dinner thought about something in DTD?

Wed
dinner at Ohana time??

any ideas/suggestions will be appreciated!

Are you on dining plan? Do you want counter service or table service? Are you or anyone else picky?

We did not care for Whispering Canyon Cafe at all--terrible service and mediocre food. We love The Plaza at the MK for table service--nice soups, salads and sandwiches, with great shakes and sundaes. It is not as expensive as some of the other table services either. The only place we've event at DTD is Fulton's (a favorite of ours--but very expensive) and Wolfgang Puck--did it when it first opened and haven't been back since. T-Rex, the new dinosaur place, is getting some nice reviews.

How about dinner at 1900 Park Fare w/Cinderella on Monday night?

We love Wolfgang Puck EXPRESS (there are several Wolfgang Puck restaurants in DTD). The food is very good, it's fast and very kid friendly. You can also sit outside and let your DD run around. :)

I've heard horror stories about Ohana's wait time. People not being seated for almost 45 mins to an hour. To play it safe, I'd make the ADR early than when you want to eat. I wanted 7:30, but took the 6:40 ADR. I bet we'll be seated at 7:30 :rotfl2:

Don't forget if you want a quick meal, you can also visit other resorts counter service restaurants. Just to change it up a bit, so your not dining at your food court the entire time. They do offer different items at each resort.

My concern is that as your first time and with such a short trip, you are doing a lot of leaving the park on the two days that you do have in the park. You did not say where you were staying. I guess you know your family's style when it comes to these things but for us, on such a short trip (even after being there over 10 times in the past 8 years for at least 8-14 nights usually), that would be a lot of coming and going...and missing of the precious little park time that you do have.

If I were planning, I'd go for something at a MK area resort for dinner on your first night (like 1900 Park Fare with CInderella, Prince Charming, and the step family). Day two, I'd keep your Crystal Palace breakfast and then use a table services at maybe Cosmic Rays where you can get good food (ribs and chicken) that is a good DDP investment and will fill you up too (if you like that kind of thing). On day three, I'd keep your Chef Mickeys breakfast anf then for dinner do something in Downtown Disney like Wolfgang Puck Express for dinner...that is almost table service like but is a counter service. For day four, I'd go counter service for lunch and use your last table service at someplace that interests you insude MK or Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian cafe that is claose by and usually will not involve a huge wait for a table...they both also have great food and are good 1TS meals.

I guess my strategy woudl be more to stay in the park when you are in the park ... so I might even go all Counter services in the parks just because the TS pickens at MK are slim and then use my TS for four good meals on your arrival/off/departure day.

But again, just my opinion and you know what will work with your family the best...happy planning, and have fun!

We are staying at CBR. Thanks your advice does make a little more sense. Like I said I know there will for sure be Tuesday where will not be going to MK. I know we will probably have to break during the days we are at MK for naps and rest back at CBR. So even on park days I could do a dinner close by and then go back to park if having EMH???

OK what do you think about this:

Sunday arrival day:
DTD day/afternoon
grab some snacks at goofy candy co.
Dinner ADR @ 1900 Park Fare

Monday MK Day:
Crystal Palace 8:00am
Lunch share QS in park or snack
Dinner QS in park
Maximize park all day!!!!

Tuesday Non park day:
Chef Mickeys 9am
Lunch share something small or go to City Walk? pay op
Dinner if dont go to city walk at Wolfgang Puck express

Wednesday MK Day:
bfast and lunch quick or snack in park
Dinner Ohana

We really are big breakfast eaters which will probably leave us not so hungry at lunch. Then do dinners!!!! I guess I am trying to plan by using all my credits. When really I should just plan big ADR meals and leave the rest up to whatever whenever?:confused3
