Is it ok to make an ADR for 3, but only 2 of us actually eat? I'm not sure my dd will want to eat at 2 of our ADRs. Is that ok? She will actually be there. On that note, what if my dd doesn't eat and dh and I decide to split? Is this totally wrong to use 1TS for an ADR for 3? Should we just use 2TS in this case and bag our leftovers? (Don't know we would split, but just hypothetically asking)

I'm curious...if I make an ADR for 5pm and another for 8pm for dinners for party of 3, will they be cancelled out? Can I do this? I'm thinking if my dd wants to eat earlier at another place and we just have an appetizer there oop, then we have dinner later and she doesn't eat at the 8pm place. Also another question: can I make an ADR at a buffet for 3 people and not everyone eats?

You can make 2 adrs for 2 different times in one day.Just cancel one if you decide to eat only one.At buffets you will be charged for 3 people regardless if only one of you eats.I know there is some debate about sharing one ts credit per meal, so I can not tell you what the rules are for that.

I'm sure it would be fine to have an ADR for 3 if only 2 of you eat. To the question of sharing, you're not supposed/allowed to share a meal on the DDP. From the DDP FAQ:
Can I share meals with other guests on the Dining Plan staying on the same hotel reservation?
There is no clear answer to this. Consistently, guests seem to be allowed to share the meals ordered on the Dining Plan amongst the guests at their table, with the exception of fixed price meals, such as buffets or other all-you-can-eat options. However, this question was been asked directly to Disney via email, by a number of guests, and consistently, they have answered this question by saying specifically that, "sharing is not permitted." Despite several attempts to get clarification about that statement, no clarification appears to be forthcoming from Guest Communications, and nothing official has been released by Disney Dining to resolve the confusion. Ask your server.

3 hours between should be ok. When you make the ADR's, you might want to mention that the early one is a late lunch and then a late dinner.
How old is your DD? Will she be on the child DDP? If so, she probably won't have any problems at any of the restaurants you choose. The kids meals are pretty much the same at all of the restaurants.

You can, but IIRC some/a lot of the Character Meals will charge for a person to just sit there. I think it's $5-10.

actually now they no longer charge they entertainment fee, they charge a full buffet price pp.At least they did at CP, Boma, Akershus, and Ltt.If your child is under 3 it does not matter since they don not get charged at bufffets anyway.

Thanks! I wasn't sure about sharing the TS meals, but another poster had said they do it and it was allowed. We probably won't be sharing TS~I'm not a big sharer of that sort of meal. :P

My dd is 4, so she will be on the child plan.

Good to know about the buffets. We will probably only go to ones where we will all eat. I may just rearrange everything so we will all eat at each TS. That will just make things so much easier!

I called last week and I had the the same ? about my kids not eating at Princess Storybook Dining. I was told if anyone did not eat at that particular Character Meal they would be charged a $4.50 entertainment fee each. (of course, no charge if under 3)

May I ask, did you get your info from the Dining # or do you know specifically firsthand? It seems like everytime I call I get a different answer.

first hand from servers at the restaurants I mentioned.I was surprised because at LTT a few years ago Dh did not want to eat and they just charged an entertain. fee .This past trip another member of my party did not want to dine and they told me they don't do the fee anymore because people would say they were not eating and then be eating anyway.the server said it was getting too hard to police everyone.

I was wondering about sharing the TS credit as well... the food looks like more than enough to share, but we'll probably use 2 TS's each time anyways and bag the rest!

I just noticed a few of our tickers are for around the same time! Maybe I'll see you all there!!! :)

We will be the 2 frazzled parents with 2 teenagers pushing and arguing and the 3 year old trying to get in the mix. uhh wait a minute, there should be alot of us there like that. ;)

It's been several years since they charged only the entertainment fee. My grandaughter wouldn't eat a bite at Akershus a couple of years ago. We got charged the full price for her. We were told the price was as much for interaction with the princesses as it was the food. All she had was a small glass of soda and she didn't even finish that.

Hey we will be there the same time. Does PORS stand for Riverside? We will be there too, if so. :goodvibes

that info was just given to me last week! It seems like someone needs to give their CM's a refresher course or new manual booklets.

One thing to know is that restaurants will be really good about accommodating your child if she wants plainer food than they offer. We always found them willing to do just noodles with butter or grilled cheese when DD was small. She should be able to eat with you wherever you are.
