I have read table for 2 people are hard to get and sometimes have a longer wait than a table of 4 people.

Which TS are the best for shorter waits for a table of 2 adults (DH & DW) ?
In the park or at a resort - either is fine.

Our resort will be the Boardwalk.

Thank you

Pick the restaurants that appeal to you and make an ADR. If you can't find a reservation for 2, try putting in 3 or 4. There is no penalty for showing up with less people. I have made countless reservations for 2 and have never had issues nor long wait times. The only restaurant where we've had long wait times is Mama Melrose but they are notorious for long waits regardless of the number in your party.

If you aren't on the DDP, I highly recommend trying the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin. You can call them directly for reservations or use opentable for more availability than what you'll find in the WDW system.

DW and I travel just the two of us on our no-kids/no-grand kids trip each fall for the F&W Festival staying at the Boardwalk or Beach Club. We like to eat close by. We've consistently had good luck with reservations and no waits when we show up for just the two of us at Monsieur Paul, Flying Fish, and Blue Zoo.

How do you feel about eating at one of the lounges that are with the TS restaurants? DH and I do this often when we travel on our own, or are having a date night while the kids do their own thing! You don't need a reservation, and can typically order off the standard menu even though you're sitting at the bar. For example, we love doing this at Narcoosee's. We arrive early (5pm or so) and have no problem walking up to a very quiet bar and have always had amazing service.

Chefs de France usually has a lot of 2 tops near the windows. We've eaten near the window more often than not.
Nine Dragons, harder to get a window seat with 2 people, most are 4 top tables, try getting one of the last ADRs of the night and then request it when checking in.
Sanaa, if you do an early dinner there may be a window seat available, these tables are 4 tops as well, so they would rather seat 4 people than 2, but it doesn't hurt to try.
