We are a party of 16 who will be going to MVMCP on 12/07. I made ADR's for Liberty Tree Tavern on that day. Now a relative is coming up to visit us and go to MVMCP with us. I tried to add her on to our ADR and the CM told me she could not as it was all booked. :guilty:

Of course I can't tell my aunt she can't eat with us, so should I cancel the ressie and try somewhere else, or is there a chance that I can slip her in with us? I will keep trying, hoping for a cancel, but I wondered if anyone tried to slip another person in on an ADR. Thanks for your help

Yes, with a party that large, you should be able to do the "squeeze" (arrive at least 30 minutes EARLY, and just tell the host.)

Also, I've found that with large groups there is usually SOMEONE (or more) who's "too tired" or "not hungry" or "just want's to RIDE."
So it just might be that you won't really NEED an extra spot... maybe not even all the 16 original spots.

I would keep the ressie - are any in your party children? If you absolutely could not get an extra chair and squeeze it in for the extra adult, maybe you could put a kid on an adults lap. Heck if it came down to it my 9year old daughter could perch on me knee if that's what it took. I'm sure it will work out. If nothing else, just look all innocent and confused and say "oh I'm sure I made the ressie for 17!" Honestly, If you have a lap kid, I doubt anyone will even notice the extra person as you won't have to ask for a chair. Have a great time!!!

I have often been at various restaurants there with groups of folks from the DIS, with PS's for a certain number. With changing schedules for folks, sometimes more or less show up, a few either way. It has never been a problem, Disney at super at accommodating and flexibility.
