It will be first day after long haul flight, we will be up at 3 or 4 and very very jetlagged

EMH at MK

We could have either
Crystal Palace early lunch, Liberty Tree Tavern or Skippers at MK. The set meal at Liberty Tree will appeal to my family but would the liberty tree tavern be in shock if we order it as early lunch on hot summer day? How are Skippers and Crystal Palace for lunch?

We could also just book dinner outside the park and have QS in the park and go to Boma or Park Fare for dinner. I am choosing mostly family/buffet style as we usually crave hearty portions of vegetables and fruit the day after arrival.

Please rate Liberty Tree, Skippers and Crystal Palace for lunch
Place rate Boma or 1900 Park Fare for dinner

I am thinking lunch ADR in the park in air con TS can be nice break from the heat but I keep second guessing that first day

I wish I could give you better advice, but the only place we have eaten on your last st is 1900 Park Fare for dinner which we really enjoy. The step-sisters are a hoot, but I am not sure how it would be on a day you’re tired. We really ant to try Skipper’s Canteen and are makng ADRs for or next tri.

Boma dinner > Skipper's Canteen > 1900 PF dinner (for the characters, not the food) > Liberty Tree lunch > CP

Boma has the best buffets for breakfast and dinner on property and Skipper's is the best meal inside MK, IMO.

I love skippers but it is definitely big meal for lunch. Liberty tree is nothing special, but if you want quick service food with table service relaxing out of the heat it is not a bad choice. Crystal Palace is really about the characters not the food and is very expensive for lunch—I think it is a better deal at breakfast but I still would only bother if your family wants to meet pooh.

If you choose quick service for lunch, consider Columbia Harbor House. The atmosphere is about the same as libery tree and food is not bad.

1900 Park Fare for dinner is a blast!!! Highly recommend (stepsisters are hilarious). Of your list, this is the one I consider the “must-do”.

I think after a long flight I would want a sit down meal where I don't have to fight the crowd for food. So I would do Skippers, Liberty Tree, and then Crystal Palace. I think LT might be too heavy for lunch in the summer, and SC has a nice variety. Or you can do the mobile ordering for Peco Bill's, but it might be hard to find a table depending on what time you are eating lunch.

For dinner, it kind of depends on your plans for that night. Are you going back to the MK for HEA? If so, it would be a lot more convenient to do 1900 PF. The food is decent (better than most standard Disney buffets) and the characters are fun. I haven't tried Boma (yet) mostly because we find it easier to dine at parks/resorts near our plans for the night, and so far our plans haven't involved AKL. It's on the Disney bucket list though :thumbsup2

We like sharing several appetizers for lunch at Skipper Canteen.

LTT is a favorite of mine and I have almost forgiven them for taking out the characters but if Boma for dinner is the way to go. Best buffet in WDW and afterwards you can check out the animals. And as a side note I resort hop one day every trip and I think their gift shop is the most unique/best in Disney.

I would book an early lunch at LTT. If you think that is what your family will enjoy most, go for it! The serving staff will not be shocked.

If you are going to be terribly jetlagged, I would not recommend making a dinner reservation that day. Do the early lunch ADR and play the rest of the day by ear.

I've not eaten at LTT as the menu is unappealing. If I can make it at home, why oh why do I want to go out and eat it? I have, however, eaten at all the others. If food quality is most important Boma is my first choice, then Skippers. If you want to prioritize a mid-day break out of the heat, well, my personal opinion is you can't beat CP. It's cool and bright, and you're right in the middle of the action of the MK.

We love Skipper's Canteen and for lunch you could just order apps, which are pretty filling. The cachapas are my favorite thing on the menu and a great value at $10. The sangria is yummy too, and if you have room for dessert, the "quicksand" is perhaps the tastiest dessert I've ever had, really awesome combination of flavors and textures.

We love lunch at LTT! I get a salad and OGTC for dessert. Boma is also a favorite.

Boma
Skippers
Liberty Tree Tavern
1900 Park Fare
Crystal Palace

Boma is pretty much my favorite buffet anywhere. My entire family loves it. Skippers is our new favorite at MK. I do not like LTT for dinner but enjoy lunch. 1900 Park Fare dinner is fun, with great characters, but food is not good. Crystal Palace is a lovely atmosphere. Lunch and dinner aren't good (but we like breakfast, we also prefer breakfast at 1900PF).
