ADR Cancellation Threads

An someone please explain to me how these work? Ie, how you "coordinate" the cancellation? Tia

Usually someone will announce they have one to release. If you are interested you should send them a Private Message and coordinate that way.

exactly!

Basically, what the person canceling does is tell you the time they are canceling. There is no guarantee you will get the ADR. Just a heads up, I am canceling at 6 PM.

At 6 pm you should have the screen up and for the time/location and keep hitting refresh until it hopefully pops up and you can grab it!

Does it release the ADR immediately, or does it take some time? I released an ADR just after 9:30 tonight and told someone when I was doing it and she has checked, but it has never shown up. Has it probably not cleared the system yet, or did someone else snag it when I released it? It was for TH breakfast for 8 in Oct, so I can't believe there were too many people looking for that.

In my experience, it has been immediate. The person releases the reservation, I'm waiting hitting refresh, and it pops up instantly as a choice. Sounds like in your case, someone else might have gotten it.

I find that it helps to work off a synchronized clock, like http://nist.time.gov.

Hmm, well there were maybe 2-4min between the time I released it and the time she checked. It does say now that there are tables available for 2 or 4 people but not for 8. Is it possible Disney split my ADR for 8 into smaller parties?

I'd guess that you released space for 8, and someone booked a table for 4 in the time before she checked.

I watch the September thread all the time. In my experience the cancellation has been immediate. However, if you coordinate with someone definitely do it through PM because if not - anyone reading the thread can be on ready to snag it. Not to mention just general people who are searching for those times/dates.

Typically what I do is announce I have some to cancel, and I will cancel at X time unless someone wants to coordinate.

I love them though - I was recently able to not only get BOG, but get it at the exact time I wanted it on a party night!
