Hi all

I booked the bulk of our ADR's earlier this week using the 180+10 ruling. :cool1: When I asked the CM to confirm the date I could ring back to book the rest she said I could call tomorrow or as I wanted another 3 dates to wait 3 days and call to do them all in one go.

Is this right? I thought the remainder had to be booked when they were 180 days away? :confused3

Anyone know??

Thanks

Elise

I haven't heard of this. What's the 180+10 ruling? (And why isn't it just a 190 ruling?)

I thought you couldn't book anything until 180 days.

I also thought it was only 180 days. Someone posted on here a while ago that they asked Disney about the 180+10 rule and that it was untrue, Disney said in that case they'd just call it "190 days". I'm confused, lol. :confused3

If you stay on site you can book your ADR's 180 days from your check in date plus the following 10 days.

HTH :)

Elise

PS Anyone know about the ones after the 180+10? :confused3

Hi
yes is true for onsite guests, i made all mine in one call, and they do call it 180 +10

I'll try and explain what I did sorry if I lose you

I calculated my 180 days from my checkin date and called and made my first 10 ADR's (the 180 plus 10 rule) as we were staying for 14 days I still had 4 more to make so instead of phoning on 4 more consecutive days I waited 4 days so my last ADR was 190 days away and called then! Does that make any sense?

Not sure if I'm getting it right but when I called in my ADRs 180 days from my first day in WDW I got a really nasty person on the phone. I made one ADR and said i'd have to call back another time. i immediatley called back and was of course told I'd now have to wait one more day until i explained that I just called and made an ADR and had to call back. They allowed me to do this. Sorry if I confused the situation. Hopefully this helped.

No. The 180+10 thing will still apply. If they let you book some ADRs at 190 days out why wouldn't they let you book all of them at 190 days out? Now I think you're saying that one of them is 190 days away and the others are 191 and 192 days away so the CM is right in that she's saying instead of ringing 3 days in a row you could wait til the third day (the day you are within 190 days for all of the ADRs) and book them all together. :goodvibes

Just to re-iterate, as long as all the ADRs are for 190 (180+10) days from now or less then you can book them all (being an onsite guest that is). Make sense? :lmao: I think she gave you good advice unless one of the ADRs is a much-sought after one in which case ring at the earliest opportunity for that one. I'm going away now cause my head is going to explode. :rotfl2:

It makes about as much sense as the response I gave above. :lmao: In other words, I can follow it but that might just mean that we're both weird. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

to further confuse matters, i was told that downtown disney bookings do not qualify in the 180 + 10 rule and can only be booked at 180 days :confused3

I must be weird too as I know what you're saying!!!

As for misinformation from Disney, just goes to show you may get a CM who doesn't know the full details but there is no need to be unpleasant. Hope mine go OK, will be booking in about 3 weeks for 180 + 10 and ringing back for another 4!!!!!
