We're going to be at AK on 1/5. We are doing RoL PPO Tusker House at 8am. Then have FP+ for Safari and EE in the am and FoP at 5:30. Our RoL tickets from TH are at 6:30

My daughter is running in the RunDisney kids’ 1 mile at 1pm. So we will be gone from the park from noon (?) till... maybe 3? I’m not sure how long the RunDisney thing will take.

We currently have ADR for Dinner at Tiffin’s at 4pm.

I’m thinking about changing it to 7:55p (the park closes at 8), and grabbing a quick snack before (or after) our daughter's mile run if needed.

What is a “at park close” dinner at Tiffin’s like? I mean, I know people say Signature meals can take upto 2 hours? Are they expecting people to still be there at 9:30-10? I do know that you can eat at places and not be rushed at close, but i wasn’t sure about Signature meals...two hours isn’t the same as an extra 30-45 mins.

I could pick a slightly earlier meal (7-7:30 start), but I don’t want to miss seeing the nighttime decorations in Pandora.

If it matters, we are staying at AKL.

Sunset on the 5th is just before 6 so I wouldn't worry too much about an earlier dinner time. (I also don't know where the 2 hrs for a signature meal comes from)

The two hours was what I had been told by most people on different discussion boards. Not here (I just joined), but Reddit etc. allocate two hours for Signature dining. In addition to travel time.

While I have not been to Tiffins, I've been to Le Cellier a few times and I don't think we've spent that long there.

Most Signature restaurants will run you 90 minutes to 2 hours. The only Signature that hasn't taken us that long is Le Cellier (which, IMHO, has Signature prices with chain restaurant quality, but that's another topic for another time). We haven't done Tiffin's yet (our first time will be in March), but we have had park closing ADRs at HBD at DHS (as well as non-Signatures). There was no rush in the restaurant and no problem getting a bus back to the resort. Disney will not leave you stranded at a park. How long Disney advertises how long buses run before a park opens or after it closes is quite different than the reality of when they start and stop.

I love close ADRs. The restaurant has great service and is a bit quieter. When you leave the park it is a nice walk and transportation isn't crazy busy. I haven't done Tiffins, but I've done Cinderella and Brown Derby like that and both were memorable dinners.

I just wanted to thank OP for this thread! I have the same reservation time in March and was wondering if I should change it. But this means I should probably be able to enjoy AK at night (no ROL, just Pandora, Tree of Life Awakenings, maybe Everest) before heading to my ADR!
