ADR add guest on mde?

how can i add a guest not in my party to an existing adr on mde and not have to call to add one person?

You cannot.

If you try to change your reservation, it treats it like a new reservation request.

They have let me do this at check-in if the table is large enough.

For example, most tables at SciFi seat 6.

If going from 5 to 6, no problem.

If going from 6 to 7, problem.

Don’t bother calling. They can’t do anything and won’t add anyone. If you want to be super safe, then you’ll need to make a new reservation that includes your friend. On our last trip, when we did mobile check in we were able to add one more person and they never acted like it was an issue, but if you already have a large party and are going up in table size you may have to wait longer.

What restaurant are you eating at? And how many in your party? They won’t be able to help you on the phone. Your best option is to try and get a new reservation online. If that doesn’t work you may be able add one person during mobile check in. If all else fails you can try to add one at the hostess stand.

There don't need to be names "on the reservation" besides the main reservation holder. I'm confused at what your concern is in terms of your friend parking. Where are you trying to eat?

so if she is meeting me at the gf cafe and i'm on property without a car and she meets me at gf cafe but isn't on the reservation as a guest won't it be hard for her to park?

four people i have now. she would be #5. she wants to join us at ale and compass, etc.

You need to look for a reservation for 5. Or 6. No penalty for showing up with fewer.

GF security does tend to be stricter than most.

Can she meet you at your hotel?

You can call if you want. The CM will look for an ADR for 5, just like you would if you looked yourself. If there is one available, they’ll book it for you. But they can not just make an extra place in the restaurant that isn’t there. They can’t alter your reservation just because you call.

I somehow did this too. All my reservations had 2 people marked but somehow one reservation is just for me and not my hubby. I dont know how this happened and I now cant get another one for two or just one for him

Change one of your 4 guests to her name. Then she will have the reservation to show. If they won’t let you add a person at check-in, she can go grab food from the quick service while your family eats. (Disney won’t care that the people eating don’t match the exact names on the servers room.) She can still use the reservation to get into the GF parking. She might not be able to be added, but at least she could get in.
