Hi All,

Just making the last of our ADR's for the honeymoon, I changed this one 3 times at the moment after reading a number of reviews...

I have booked La Hacienda de San Angel for 4th July at 7:15, hoping to get a window seat and then stay until 10pm for illuminations!

so 2 real questions:

1. What's the reality of getting a good viewing / window seat if we arrive at 7.. dont mind waiting an hour to get a window seat! (its our honeymoon so wanted this to be a special meal)

2. If we arrive at 7:15, get a seat would it be possible to stay until 10 to watch illuminations? (we drink our cocktails extra slow if needs be)

Thanks in advance guys! really struggling with this one.

IllumiNations is at 9pm :) It's Wishes at MK that's at 10pm. I hope that time is decent to stay for Illuminations, because we have a 7:20pm at Rose & Crown. I couldn't bear to make my young children to wait any later to eat dinner. They normally eat at 6pm! I'd love to hear people's opinions. :)

I do not believe they will allow you to request a window seat, especially not on the 4th You're probably going to be asked to take the first available table. Be aware that about 1/3 of the restaurant has no view of the lagoon at all. You can try asking, but do not be surprised if they tell you you cannot request a table, even if it is your honeymoon. Everyone wants those tables.

I never recommend this restaurant to guests who are interested only in seeing Illuminations from there.

Ah, I see! Well honestly I think that you would never be able to stretch out a 7:15 ressie for a 10:00 fireworks show. I've been told that my 7:20 for a 9:00 IllumiNations is really stretching it. Unless you drank and drank and drank and be prepared to tip exceedingly well for taking up the waiter's table for so long. Just my thoughts! Have a wonderful honeymoon regardless. :)

I think your ADR is too early. I wouldn't even be sure they would allow you to linger that long. Not to mention, it is a bit rude to do so, imho. And I'm sure you don't mean to be! There will probably be plenty of people waiting for their ADRs that are after yours, and you will be keeping a table from one of them. It would be better to make other plans.

I really like La Hacienda but having an ADR 2 3/4 hours prior to Illuminations would be impossible to 'stretch.' None of their food seems to take a terribly long time to prepare. I went there when they first opened (soft opening) and even with their extra attentiveness, issues with figuring out the dining plan, all courses of the meal served, and several margarita rounds, we were there for less than 1 1/2 hours. On subsequent visits, we are there for about an hour.
