Has anyone ever had a problem upon arrival at getting adjoining rooms (doors between them) when you arrived at POFQ?

We are thinking of maybe doing this resort next August to save some money over Old Key West ($1800 to be exact!) but it would be a disaster if we couldn't get rooms with a door between them since we are traveling with kids.

Thanks in advance!

We have stayed twice at POFQ with adjoining rooms. We didn't have any problems, although they always warn they can't guarantee them. This last trip the CM somehow linked the reservations together so that it would better our chances I think. I'm not for sure if that is true, but we did have adjoining rooms.

We had connceting rooms at POFQ. when i made my ressie i requested for our reservations to be linked and told them that my DS 12 would be sleeping in my parents room. I got lucky all my requests were met! connecting rms. court yard view 2nd flr. boy was I a happy camper!!!:cool1:

I'm not being a grammar snob, I'm trying to help you communicate effectively with Disney. In Disney-speak, CONNECTING rooms have a door between them. Adjoining rooms are next to each other or across the hall from each other. I'd hate for you to request adjoining rooms and then be disappointed when you discovered they don't have an internal doorway connecting them.

::yes::
Just what I was going to write.
There have been a lot of people who came back and posted, "I asked for adjoining rooms, but I didn't get my request. They just gave me rooms next to each other." If someone asked for adjoining rooms and got 2 next to each other, they did get what they asked for.

connecting rooms for families with adults and kids.

I had connecting rooms at POFQ (2 steps from teh food court -- best rooms ever!!) in 2005 and just booked them again for august 2008.

No, Disney does not 'guarantee' connecting rooms for anyone - not even the one adult traveling with six kids between three and seventeen. They TRY, and they usually succeed - but if there are twenty parties requesting connecting rooms, and only fifteen pairs of connecting rooms available that night, five parties aren't going to get their request.

Two adults traveling with more than two children age three and above can, if absolutely necessary, split up between the two non-connecting rooms.
