*ADIOS!* A 16th Birthday & Summer Vacation fit for a Princess! *Updated 7/16*

Day 3. Wednesday, July 20th

The plan is to pack up all of our stuff and leave Pop Century and check into... Disney's Polynesian Resort!
IMG_0046.jpg

I'm super excited for this day... I LOVE the Poly! We stayed their in July 2009 and I fell in love with it (: It's my favorite Disney Resort and it's just so beautiful there.

So we get unpacked, and get ready for our day. My plan is Animal Kingdom, just because it has EMH... but we probably won't make it there for EMH anyways, since we'll be too busy switching resorts. But for now, the plan is AK.

Have something to eat at Flame Tree BBQ- one of my favorite places to eat! Their ribs and chicken salad are some of the best food I've ever eaten in my entire life.

Since this is a "moving hotels" day, I figured some of us may be a little tired/worn out from the switch. So I have mini-golf down for today. Winter Summerland for sure, since we've never been there and I've only heard good things about it.

If we're not totally dead by this point, Magic Kingdom is open until 11, so I figure some of us would want to go. It will probably end up being me, joe, and my mom just going. J will want to stay at the resort and relax. And both J and my dad will want to watch the Yankees game (and if there is no Yankee game they'll want to watch Sports Center).

Whoever doesn't go to MK will have dinner at the hotel, but for me and the people that do go to MK will have dinner at Pinocchio Village Haus (:

and that's day 3!

TO DO LIST, Help please?
So I plan on having a running To Do list for this trip. There are soooo many things I haven't done. If y'all could help me come up with ideas that'd be great! Tell me something not a lot of people do but that you really enjoy, or just tell me things you enjoy and maybe I haven't done them yet! I really would love ideas for my list, and I'll be sure to keep it updated and say whose idea was what (: this is what I have so far:

Disney To Do List July 2011:
-Go to Ghirardelli (idea by Drew [Monorail Fan:)] and Timmy [PlutosRHM55])
-Mini golf at Winter Summerland (idea by Drew [Monorail Fan:)])

Sara! It sounds like you're trip will pretty fun. The Poly seems so relaxed and fun to stay at. For DTD, I always liked doing the Design-A-Tee shop there. I have made a few already. They always end up so cute. (: hope this helps you a little bit! (:

Ahhh so jealous you are staying at the Polynesian! I love it there! :goodvibes

They have re-done the queue lines for HM and Pooh, and Star Tours II should be open by the time you go. (:

I'm jealous that you're going to the Poly Sara(h)! :goodvibes I love their character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch! Hope you have fun! Make sure you go on Star Tours II and the Phineas and Ferb Meet&Greet.

You should do The Great Piggy Bank Adventure in Inoventions in Epcot. It's soo fun.

July 21st 2011

Magic Kingdom has EMH, so that's the plan for the morning. And then Hollywood Studios for the second half of the day!

July 22nd 2011

Epcot has morning EMH, so we'll be headed there!
Magic Kingdom has evening EMH, and will be open until 2 am! My goal is to stay at MK until 2 am... or at least 1:30... think I can accomplish it? Let's hope!

My other goal is to try to make it to every park for Morning EMH! We've only done this ONCE. And that was last summer for Hollywood Studios and it was AMAZING. We got A LOT done and it was totally worth waking up early! I love sleeping, but for Disney, I'd wake up early, I just need to get going sometimes.

I know the updates are pretty boring... they'll be getting more interesting soon though, I promise! (:

AND: Only 77 days until Disney! (:

You DEFINITELY should try getting in as much morning EMH time as you can. You get tons more done than night EMH. It is a smart move. I wish I could've done it at more parks when I was there. I've already taken a mental note of that for my next trip :)

And some suggestions for more stuff to try out...

Another thing to do, if they are having it, while in DTD, is check out the Disney Performing Arts stage for some performances. It seems from your past TRs you only shop there. I performed on that stage and I'm sure it is nice to watch some performances with some food to eat from the surrounding carts.

Also, for another CS, check out Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland at MK. I've gone there twice on both of my trips in Disney. I really enjoyed it my first time and made a mental note of the place for my second time. I brought my friends and they liked it so much they wanted to go back the next day. It was the only food service place we made note of going back to. It doesn't have a lot just the regular stuff, but nobody is ever over there so there's no line and the food is good.

:goodvibes

Like Timmy said, make sure you get in early for EMH! So worth it. :goodvibes

I have some other stuff you can do this summer:
- Meet&Greet with Rapunzel & Flynn
- I'm trying to ride every attraction in Magic Kingdom this year. If you're up for the challenge,I challenge you (;
- If your family is looking for a good QS to eat at I suggest:
Magic Kingdom - Pecos Bill,Cosmic Ray's,Casey's
EPCOT - Electric Umbrella

I love reading your trip reports, it gives me ideas for my girls, who are about your ageish. Okay, my youngest is younger, but close enough. I am thinking of sneaking a trip in sometime in October. We have never been then and I would love to go to MNSSHP. I am also thinking of maybe staying at the Poly. Care to share a little more about why this one is your favorite? Enjoy your planning, it sounds like you will have a good time!

I agree that there really is a lot more you can get done in the morning!

Yeah, we mainly just go there for shopping (and sandwiches). I'll check that out, we've walked past it before and I've seen people performing, but we never really stopped to watch and listen. We were too busy getting from point to point. But this trip I really want to stop and take the time to take it all in (:

I've never eaten there before! It will definatly be added to the list!

:O I must meet Rapunzel and Flynn! Tangled was such a cute movie.
One year we rode every MK ride in our trip... I'm totally up for doing it again! You're going on your trip before me, so can't wait to see if we both can accomplish it

We've eaten at Pecos and I looooove Cosmic Ray's. But we've only really passed through Casey's. We should really get lunch there or something, since I lovelovelove the baseball themeing (: And we've never eaten at EU either! Both places we'll need to try

Thanks (:
I've never been to MNSSHP, but I know people who have gone and they only have good things to say about it. I hope y'all go in October and have lots of fun. I think the Poly would be a great resort for you to stay at! It's got beautiful themeing, it's a very relaxing resort, the rooms are a great big size and decorated beautifully, the pool is reaaaally cool, it's on the monorail system which makes transportation easier, and all in all it's just a really fun and pretty resort! A highly request it, and if you have any questions or anything you wanna know, I'd be happy to help out (:

I'm going to take a quick break from day-by-day planning, but don't fret, I've still got more days to do!

I just wanted to introduce the others that will be going on this trip with me.
First off, is my brother, Joe.
hijoey.jpg

(that's him with my Justin Bieber cardboard cut out, hehe...)
He's 12 years old (I think... hehe) and loves Legos, video games, his iTouch, and playing outside. His favorite ride is Big Thunger Mt RR. He doesn't really go for the thrill rides, we usually force him onto Space Mountain with us, and he refuses to go on RNRC or EE.
Pros: He's really funny and fun to be around
Cons: He gets grumpy when he's tired or bored.

Next is my other brother, John, or just simply J.
Photo0039.jpg

(that's him in the back of the car with me, being silly.)
IMG_7585.jpg

(trust me, the hugging is a Disney-only kind of thing.)
He's 13 years old. He spends most of his time at baseball or playing video games on XBOX live talking to his friends. He's always watching Sports Center and is known to stay back at the hotel to watch the Yankee game at night on WDW trips. So don't be surprised if that happens on this upcoming trip.
Pros: He's HILARIOUS and usually my ride partner.
Cons: He gets grumpy too and likes everything to go his way.

All three of us:

My dad:

He always tells us to enjoy our Disney trip, because we won't ever be going back for a long time. But somehow, for the past three *soon to be four* years we've been going back every summer, and other times too. He really loves Disney. I don't think I'm allowed to say any "cons" for him (;

My mom:
IMG_7532.jpg

She loves Disney as much as I do. Although, we all love it. She's usually the one to talk my dad into things though. She's the same as me, we'll both ride any single ride in WDW except Tower of Terror. She just doesn't like dropping... I don't like that either, but I'm terrified of elevators xD

And sadly, this guy, will be staying home. Or, at Camp, at least.
IMG_6664.jpg

Our puppy *soon to be three years old* Jeter

And that's everybody!

I've read all your TRs cover-to-cover so I'm pretty familiar with these pictures and faces already, but based off those TRs, I can't wait to read your next one :goodvibes But I seriously think you need to change you dog's name... Jeter, why not Ortiz or Ellsbury? ;)
