*ADIOS!* A 16th Birthday & Summer Vacation fit for a Princess! *Updated 7/16*

I went shopping with my mom for bathing suits, since I'm going to the beach for Spring Break with my friend. Well, my mom told me that she booked some Disney stuff... AND WE'RE GOING FOR SURE THIS SUMMER! WOOOHOO! So here are the details for you guys:

WHO Me, J (brother), Joe (brother), Mom, and Dad

WHEN July 18-24 2011

WHERE (most exciting) first two nights, I believe, will be spent at the POP Century resort. But the rest of the trip will be at... DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN RESORT! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD my utter excitement.

Getting into it more, we will be going this July, on the 18th which is a Monday. We'll be driving down that morning and will get there that evening. We'll spend that day at the pool, or maybe Downtown Disney. That night is at POP (: and then the 19th will be mini golfing, downtown disney, and pool time. That night will be at POP again, and then the next day we move to the Polynesian! Then we have our five day passes, which my mom wants to change to Annual Passes that first day. I'm going to look more into which parks to go what day and where to eat and such, so I'll have plenty of updates later!

I'm just SO excited to be going back to the Polynesian, I LOVE IT THERE!

And I mentioned that maybe we'd get APs... which means... 16th Birthday in Disney here I come!

Just wanted to share my excitement with you (: expect some awesome updates once I get back from the beach (which will be Wednesday)

I'm excited for you!! The poly seems like a pretty cool place to stay. AP's look like they are coming your way!! I wish my family had some. But we go regularly, so that's all that matters.

*jealous*

YOU'RE STAYING AT THE POLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dissaprove of this. LOL No, it is awesome there and I really want to stay there! I'm also jealous of the fact that you are going to be down there again. I've never heard a TR by someone the same age as me so... can't wait to read the TR :) BTW, what are APs (Don't judge me ;))?

Can't wait to read more updates! :mickeyjum

I've been lurking around this PTR, but decided to post now that you're going this summer! :wizard:
Have a great time, I'll be in WDW a few weeks afer you.

Thanks (: The Poly is my favorite resort, just a bit better than the Grand Floridian (; APs are the way we get to go down there so much. And with APs... my 16th birthday has a better chance, my mom said. :D

I <3 the Poly! Haha (: I love reading your TRs, so hopefully you'll enjoy reading mine too.

Like Sarah said, APs are Annual Passes

Wow what awesome news:goodvibes

I'm uber jealous that your staying at the poly again but you must be so excited!!!!

Congrats! :goodvibes

Pop Century and Polynesian are a really great combo for a trip. I know this is a tiny detail, but I recommend Winter Summerland mini-golfing. It has great theming and we have done both Winter and Summer courses.

I know right (:

I'm sooooo excited to be going back to my home resort! The Polynesian is truly where I belong.

Congrats! :goodvibes

They're two of my favorite resorts! Pop is my fav value and the Poly is my fav Deluxe :D

I've heard only amazing things about Winter Summerland. Back in '09 we went to the other minigolfing place, for some reason there was a complication and we couldn't go to Winter Summerland. So I really wanna go there (:

Day 1 plans:

We've got to drop our yellow lab, Jeter, off at Camp Bow Wow (a place for dogs to stay. They take good care of the dogs and play with them every day). We'll leave around nine-ish, is my best guess. The car ride is over nine hours, so we'll arrive at the Pop Century at six or so.

Check into the POP and Downtown Disney is on my agenda. We won't have our park tickets yet. We got 5 day park tickets. But you can get your park tickets three days in advance, so the plan is on July 19th to get the tickets and turn them into Annual Passes, so we'll be able to go to the parks on July 19th, instead of just hanging out at the hotel and mini-golfing and such.

So, DTD for this day. Eat dinner at my favorite... Earl of Sandwich! Do some shopping and just take it easy. Go back to Pop and maybe go swimming.

Day 2 plans:

Magic Kingdom has morning EMH (8am-9am) so we'll head there and have breakfast somewhere.

Have fun in MK, even with some of the best stuff (Fantasyland) unable to go on.

Then we're off to Epcot for night EMH (11pm-12am). And for dinner... a family favorite.. La Cantina De San Angle! It was under construction for so long, this will be our first trip back when it's open :D

This will be our last night at the Pop Century... I'll be too excited to sleep knowing where we'll be headed the next day... the Polynesian! <3

I know this isn't very detailed, sorry! It'll get more and more detailed as time goes on (:

Sounds like you have a good plan there. I think I've heard too many good reviews about Earl of Sandwich that I must go there next time. And I love La Cantina de San Angel too, though I must try its new cooperative La Hacienda, a table service one. Hopefully though I'll be able to somehow persuade my parents to let me go back next year... Can't wait to hear about how the rest of your trip is gonna go! :)

That's pretty much what we do on arrival day as well. Downtown Disney :D

Earl of Sandwich is my awesome, and Ghirardelli for dessert would be heaven. (:

La Cantina de San Angel sounds great. Sounds like you have a good plan for your first two days. (:

You NEED to go to Earl of Sandwich! It's my favorite place to eat at Disney (: their sandwiches are just so good. Hmm.. La Hacienda? I need to go there, since I love La Cantina so much (:

Downtown Disney is a good thing to do on the first day, to get it done with. It's so out of our way normally and sometimes we don't have time for it.. so doing it first really helps (:

Is Ghirardelli as amazing as everyone says it is? We pass by it all the time, we never go in. I need to add it to my list of "To Dos"!

Great plans! This year we also are going to Pop Century, but on July 4th,mom and I are going to Port Orleans French Quarter for the rest of the trip! :goodvibes
I say for the first day you start with Downtown Disney, that's what I usually do. If you're going for a short period of time, you probably want to go to the parks, but if you are staying longer you don't have to rush.

I will now. I must begin making notes for my next trip (whenever it may be)

:scared1: YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO GHIRARDELLI! OMG! You must! I'm not a fan of chocolate, but they give out free samples, already opened (so you must eat them and the person handing them out has gloves and the samples aren't wide open) when you walk in. I had about ten of them on my last trip. They are SOOOO GOOOD!

Y'all are doing the same thing as us! Stay at POP first then move to a different "higher" resort! POFQ is lovely (:

Exactly... if you're not staying for more than four or five days, DTD shouldn't be on your scheduel, unless one of those days you don't have park tickets.

Well now I absolutly MUST go to Ghirardelli! I love chocolate... which kind of makes me afraid to go in there, I may never want to leave! Haha
