I am attempting to make a autograph book out of an 8X8 scrapbook. I cut cardstock into 8X8 and am planning to put background paper on the top to eventually glue a picture onto and have the Characters sign on the bottom. I have about 50 double sided pages to stick that background paper onto and eventually the photos on top of it. I need advice on what kind of adhesive to use. I'm thinking that spray adhesive is probably the fastest and most economical Any suggestions on brands or advice...maybe I shouldn't even be using this kind of adhesive.

i'll admit im not the best one to answer this - but just to give you a quick reply - i wouldnt go with the spray adhsive - it is so messy to work with and i dont think it is too cheap

i dont remember the name of the glue runner that i use - but i buy it and its refills at wallmart (in the scrapbooking section) and i love it - it literally takes seconds to put on the back of a sheet and works great!

good luck!

I hate that spray adhesive ! bleech it smells bad & everything gets toooooo sticky!

Although I don't know what to suggest...I'm a die hard CM tape runner gal...I use it for everything!

I love the way spray adhesive sticks, but I always get all over my hands and then they are sticky for days! I use regular old Scotch double side tape for most cardstock and photo adhesive. I haven't had an problems with it and you can buy it at the grocery store.

I too am a CM tape runner fan. Only I need to find a new consultant so I have recently gotten the scrapbook adhesive brand tape runner and I have been happy with that.

I would use the double stick tape to stick the cardstock together if you want a complete seal around all 4 edges or one of the permanent tape runners. You could use the spray adhesive, but like the others, I find it very smelly and messy.

Sounds like a great project!

heavier weighted the paper the more I say Creative memories tape runner. I feel it holds the best. I do use hermifix tabs but find it doesn't hold the textured/heavy paper as well as CM.....

I have tried a whole lot of adhesives and the only one that works well for me is CM tape runner. Huge fan.

CM tape runner can be purchased by a Creative Memories consultant. Buy the runner once and then you can buy refills for it. There is a regualr one and a mini one.

I also like the CM runner but I've now discovered Easy-Stick by Duck which is fantastic and it's sold at Wal-Mart in the office supply aisle.

Hey sherri! Walmart has a tape runner that works perfectly fine. Don't go with the spray. I think the dbl sided tape would be a good idea also. My favorite for pictures though are the little photo tabs! Hope to see your book when you are finished!

Is easy stick a glue stick? Is it permanant?

It's permanent. Not a glue stick but a runner - it has a red casing. I'll try and take a pic later this morning (after the plumber leaves, we've had a minor flood in my house - the pipes are clogged with something & my DH took a shower and water came out of the sink & all over my kitchen floor)

The Duck brand adhesive sold in the office supply at Wal-Mart is a good one - comparable to Tombow.

Or, my very favorite is the EZ Runner made by 3L. It is very similar to the "old" style of CM adhesive. You can find the EZ Runner at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's (?), and various places online.
