Address Change on Reservation

I'm not sure where to put this, but this seems like as good of a place as any. DW and I have decided to build a new house. We went back and forth between remodeling our current house, buying an existing one, or building. And for various reasons, we have decided to build.

Anyway, here is where my Disney related question comes in. Our next trip is booked for Sept 15, 2007. Depending on when they start to dig (sometime between mid-March and Early April), we might be moving very shortly before our trip. Which is fine, because we'll probably need a week to relax after the stress of building and moving. But if we do move into our new house before our trip, we'll have to change our mailing address on our Disney reservation. Has anybody else had to do this? I keep having nightmares about our reservation getting lost in the process, and getting down there and not having a room to stay in or park tickets waiting for us. Or maybe we don't get our final documents or Magical Express luggage tags. So am I just being foolish in worrying about this, or do I have a legitimate concern here?

Sounds like you will not be out of the old house until maybe 1 or 2 weeks at the earliest before your vacation. I think you should probably have all your documents by then, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Make sure you give a forwarding address to your post office, and that way anything sent to the old address will get forwarded. I am also sure that a quick call to reservations would do the trick, just give them your new address and they can update your reservation in the system. It will work out, but I totally understand the stress, especially because you don't know exactly when the new house will be ready. Just try not to worry about it too much!
