Just sent in a contract for some more AKV points!
I had purchased resale at BCV when my dd was young. Then added a small direct contract when AKV opened. Once dd hit high school, we didn't go down there as often, and I sold my BCV points, and we did the bank/borrow thing for a while, doing only one trip in a five year period.
Then last year, I had use or lose points, so I went for weekend with a friend, followed by a week with my dd and her friend in the summer. Then I went back for a conference at the Swan in November. All that made me see Disney in a different way. While we enjoyed the park week with a newbie (quick note - that friend will be moving to CA to work for Disney in IT when she graduates this year, and blame that on me!), it was the shorter trips that I really enjoyed.
So I caught the bug. (Did it help, that since I borrowed points, I had none until 2020? Ironically, two days after reaching out to a reseller, an almost perfect contract popped up. A couple more points than I would have wanted - but a small contract with my current use year. I took it as a sign, and now I will be able to visit some more.
