Addonitis getting worse during COVID

I almost broke down the other day and made offers on two smallish contracts that were the # of points and UY I'm looking for. It took all of the willpower I have, but I resisted the temptation and will hold out a bit longer.

I think prices will drop some more in the coming months and I have a couple of other financial goals that I want to achieve first rather than delaying them by making an additional DVC purchase right now. In a couple of months, I'm fairly confident we'll add at least 50 points, but maybe as much as 150.

We just added 175 that we really didn’t need, but wanted. Going from 395 to 570. We tend to bring too many other people on trips with us and rent two bedrooms (not a bad thing) and we always end up borrowing points. So with borrowing restrictions now we needed up having to pay for a transfer to complete a BWV trip (that I am currently sitting at the pool at BWV typing this). And since we haven’t done anything this summer I decided to find a contract and do an add on.

Tought I was the only one looking for another contract just after passing ROFR.....

I get that this feels eternal but all things pass and Australia can't survive economically unless we open up at some point. I am only looking at contracts that are stripped of 2020 points so I feel more confident about the purchase. The pandemic will pass, we will reopen, and life will start to return to normal. If Australia doesn't reopen, we have more to worry about than just the pandemic.

I'm in Canada and have the same thoughts! I can't wait for this to all pass and borders to open
