Additional Question added - Has anybody upgraded an AirMiles 7Day MYW ticket lately?

I've been thinking about getting the AirMiles 7 day MYW Park Hopper, Water Parks & More, Non-expiring ticket for 3330 points. However, ultimately, I want a PAP. Has anybody upgraded to an AP or PAP using an AirMiles ticket lately? I did it in 2005 with the old tickets and they gave me full credit of a 7 day PH towards an AP.

I guess what I'm asking is now that they have the MYW tickets, do they still give you full value credit of the AirMiles ticket when you upgrade, not a discounted value?

We did this. I bought the AirMiles tickets here. The lady at the desk at WDW, Magic Kingdom to be precise, was very confused about all of this because she did not "recognize" where the tickets were issued from. She called her supervisor and all was ok. We upgraded to no expiry. It took longer than I would have liked though. We did this at the ticket booth and I wonder if it would be faster/better to do it at the town square area where you make reservations for dinners etc.

There is at least one rumor going around that it is better to do ticket upgrades at the park Guest RElations (Town Square for Magic Kingdom, there is also a window outside the turnstiles). As opposed to at a ticket booth or at a resort.

You have a better chance of not losing your advance purchase discount because the CM gave you a little extra pixie dust, bringing the ticket "up to code" (up to gate price) free and then computing the charge for the extra days, non-expiration ,etc.

So, does this mean that I can use my ticket to enter a park and then go to the Guest Relations desk in the park to upgrade to a AP without losing a day off the value of my ticket toward an upgrade?

And if I get the Park hopping, Water Parks and More, Non-expiring option will that be credited toward the value of an annual pass, or will it be valued the same as a base ticket?
