Additinal Tip? For Concierge

So I saw that there was updated Language and we noticed last cruise that an additional tip for the concierge was added to our bill, we still tipped additional in cash since we brought it is this still the norm with the newly added gratuity for concierge? I should have kept the last folio trying to figure out what to budget for upcoming trips thanks in advance.

There has been a suggested tip for concierge for a few years. It started being included in the automatically charged gratuities I think a couple of years ago. The recent change increased that suggested amount. For concierge that amount is shared by the entire team, and is one of the gratuities listed in those yellow papers they leave for guests before the last day.

so for a longer cruise should we tip more? or is this sufficient? I never looked at the amounts tbh I know I should have.

On our 1/11/25 Treasure cruise we tipped extra as the staff was very helpful to us. We were told that if you give extra to the "Concierge" (as a whole) it is pooled. But if you give to a specific member then they get to keep that amount.

There is an amount now added to your gratuities. We tip extra now based on service that is extra helpful. We had one bartender on the Wish that checked in with us often, had our wine glasses full before we headed to dinner etc. We tipped her personally above the pooled tip.

Personally I always tip more. The $8, now $10, per day for the entire team to share seems to me to be greatly undervaluing their service. It is now only $1.42 per person per cast member per day for the older ships, less for the Wish which has more concierge staff, which is way less than the dining room or stateroom hosts are suggested to get per day (now I think $4.75 per day per person). I interact/spend much more time with the concierge folks than I do dining or stateroom people.

yeah we used to tip ~100 for 3 days never did a week didn't realize it was that low
