Adding to reservations

I called today to try to add an extra day to my reservation but they told me that there were no rooms available to add the extra day at any resort.
Adding the extra day would only total 7 nights for me. Plus it is in September, why would there not be a room available today for me to book for 7 nights? Also, I was told if I call back next week that there would probably be a room available for 7 nights. Would would make things change all the sudden? The person I talked to sounded very sure that something would be available.

I would call back and talk to another CM and see what they say.
