Adding someone on resv?

We are going for 2 weeks in Oct and I just found out that my SIL will be joining us for 2 nights. So she is not on our reservation. Fire regulation/capacity wise we can fit her in the room so that is not an issue. We currently have a package. Can we add her to the hotel for those two nights so she is staying legitimately? (I know it would be $10 extra a night for a 3rd adult.)

Also, how can she get to the resort as I am assuming she is not eligible for the magical express? We can pick her up at the airport worse case scenario but wondering if there were any cheap (under $50 options?)

if you have dining and you want her on your pkg than its for the full time of reservation. At mods and deluxes its $25 a night for any adults over 2 in a room.

I bet if only 2 nights out of 14 days you might be able to work something out with or w/o disney blessing. she wont get a room key and have to buy over the counter tickets. Pay for her meals OOP(out of pocket)

We don't want to add her to dining or anything. She is just going to sleep in the room and hang out with us for a day until her other friends arrive and then she has other plans. I was trying to go the correct route rather than having an "unauthorized person" in our room overnight. I also didn't know if her name was added to the room if she could do the ME. I know I can't do it now since we have a package, but didn't know if I could/should do it when we check in at the hotel or if there is a way to do it earlier.

I have added another person to our existing package reservation. Once we got to the resort, I was able to just add the extra person for the two nights that she was there (for a room only). They were able to add her to Magical Express both ways as well. Since we were all adults, we had to pay the additional adult fee, but since she was getting ME, it was a no-brainer.

there ya go.....funny though cause i called one time about same thing and they told me NO for just room only for 2 nights......maybe a just a missinformed CM. We snuck the person in for 2 nights. JUST dont over exceed the room limits or some noisy neighbor may ask questions about why there were 5 people in a room for only 4 or something.

Just did this with Disney daughter last month. We were on dd plan but didn't want her on. Wait till you check in to add her to your room and do it at front desk. Cm at front desk was even nice enough to call ME for me and she was all set for pick up. Have a great time

This! She'll be legitimately registered.

When you check in tell the CM that your SIL will be joining you for 2 nights. They will issue a KTTW card for her so she'll have a room key and if you're doing EMH she'll be able to go as well. She'll have to buy her park tickets separately and pay for meals OOP.

Once she's on your room res she's entitled to use DME so you can call DME and give them her arrival info. Unless the CM does this while you're right there, I would do this myself to make sure it's done. You'll need to let DME know at least one day in advance of her arrival, but more lead time is better. :) She won't have the DME voucher so she'll have to go to the DME counter to check in. Also, she'll have to get her luggage and bring it on the bus with her because she won't have the yellow tag.
