Hi,

We've rented dvc points for our trip, and I was able to do online check-in this morning. :cool1:

I'm going to order the park tickets tonight and they will be mailed to me. How exactly does it work with getting those added on to the key BCV will give me when I check in? Is that a big deal? I'm wondering if I maybe shouldn't have done online check-in.

Thank you in advance for any help. I'm getting SO EXCITED!!!!

well i would think it may be easier just to pay for the tickets at the front desk when you check in. this way they can just add them right to your ticket. that is what we are planning to do next month

Just present your park tickets and room keys to the concierge desk in the lobby, and they will transfer the tickets to the keys.

Okay. Sounds good! Figuring all of this out... next trip will be easier. Going to order my park tickets now. :cool1:

Learned something new today! Thanks for this bit of information. Never knew I could put the ticket directly on the room key for park access. Am I following this correctly?

Okay, I went to purchase them and then decided to compare my "discount ticket" prices with the prices straight off the WDW website. Um, like just a few dollars difference.

SO.... I'm thinking now that it might be smarter to just wait and buy them when I check-in at the wdw price and have them add it to the key. Because if I buy the "discounted" ones and have them mailed to me... and we end up not getting to go for any reason, there's no returns at all for those. Basically out of luck.

Do most of you just wait and buy the tickets when you get there?

WAIT... just noticed that the WDW price doesn't include tax. So it would be $54 MORE to wait and buy them there....

that seems kind of like a lot. I guess I'm thinking now that I'll probably just buy the discounted ones. :confused3

Thank you all for listening to my ramblings!!! :rotfl:

Sorry, I just want to make sure I'm following. If you go the desk with an Undercover Tourist ticket, they will put it on your KTTW card? How did I not know this before?

Also, what happens if you don't use all your days on a non-expiring pass? Can you have those transferred from your KTTW card onto your next trip's KTTW card?

Hi,
Yes, they add them onto your Key, I guess the same way that you are able to charge things with your Key b/c a credit card added on. It makes it easier. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure about the non-expiring days, hopefully someone more in the know will reply on that.

I did go ahead and purchase the discounted tickets and they should be here in a few days. :cool1:

I'm glad that my ramblings here have helped some people! I'm having so many basic, little questions as it gets closer to my trip. I love having disboards to come to for my answers!! :lovestruc

Does anyone know if you can add your pre purchaseed hopper tickets to your card key at the Disneyland Grand in California?

I'm hoping that is the case for our upcoming trip in November.. I bought tickets before the increase in August to save a few $$$. I figured if I couldn't get them added afterall, no biggie, I saved some money. However, if what i've seen is true, I'll be able to add them to our KTTW AND save the $$$ BONUS!! :thumbsup2 And,i won't have to worry about whether we spend the money before we get there at checkin cause it's already prepaid. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

What if you have a split stay? We are 2 nights in AKL and then 5 in Bay Lake. Will they transfer over? we have 7 day tickets for my family (I have an AP)

I would not attempt to transfer partially used tickets from one key card to another. It is a slightly different process, and many CMs don;t know how to do it properly. For split stays, I'd simply use separate ticket media.

I am assuming that an AP can not be added to a KTTW card? Is that correct?

So to be "properly armed" at all times I need a KTTW card, AP, DVC Member card and TIW!

APs can not be added to room keys. Add to your list a photo ID, and a separate credit card, as sometimes the room charge system goes down. ANd we have occasionally been asked for a photo ID when using the TiW.

I have a small zippered neck pouch that holds all of this. Similar to this, only it is black. It was about $2.50 at Kennedy Space Center. That way I don't need to carry a wallet.

I'm making a list of things to carry.... thank you so much, Chuck! :worship:

I also have one of the neck pouches, and if anyone is looking to order one online, I bought mine for $8.95 from Passporters here:

(and here's a bit of a discount if you buy more than one.)
