adding park hopper after the fact

I purchased a five day disney ticket with my free dining reservation. We already had tickets from years back that we planned on using instead of the five day. Well after thinking about it, I decided I would rather just add the park hopper to the five day and hold on to the old passes since they are non-expiring. So last night I called the disney reservation number to add the hoppers and they want to charge more money because "I'm changing the reservation". I asked if I could go to the guest services in disneymarketplace and do it with getting the extra charge and she said yes. So what I am asking the people who really know what is going on, if I do go to the guest services at disneymarketplace and add the hoppers (2 tickets) will I only be charged around $60 a piece????? I am getting so frustrated.

Upgrade the tickets when you get there. There won't be any additional fees.

Right now, since it's a change to your package, and you're probably within the 45 day window, there's either a $50 change fee or a $15 paperwork fee. So, leave it alone and upgrade on site.

You could add Park Hopper at any Disney Guest Relations location, not just at DTD. There's one inside and outside the front gates of each of the 4 theme parks, too. And you could also add PH at a Theme Park Ticket Booth. Cost $63.90 including sales tax, per ticket.

PP was correct that you must have been within 45 days of your resort arrival day. In that period, Disney will charge a fee for changes to your resort package. In your case, your tickets were part of the package. If you made the ticket change more than 45 days before arrival, there would be no additional charge except for the cost of the ticket upgrade.
