I'm trying to add a package to my ressie and the CM told me I have to do it at the resort since I would like to leave off the last day due to having to check out early and catch the train.

Is this true?? Can I still reserve tours, shows, etc.. under the discovery magic package? The CM said I can, I just want to make sure.

The CM also told me Yachtsmen Steakhouse is only 1 wish per guest, NOT 2 like I've read here. I asked her if she was sure about this, and she put me on hold to confirm it. So, I hope she's right!

Got the answer from Disney Dining

Yachtsman Steakhouse is 1 wish for lunch, but 2 wishes for dinner!

Does that mean that Fulton's is one wish for lunch also? - (I think Citricos, Narcoosees, Cal Grill, Flying Fish are only open for dinner - not sure about Bistro de Paris and Coral Reef wishes for lunch)

thanks,
LA

If you wish to buy Ultimate Hopper passes (length-of-stay) and leave off the first day or last day or both, I've read that can only be done at check-in at your (Disney) resort, so very likely your CM was correct.

If your package consists only of room + passes, there's no reason to have a package at all. Just get the passes when you check. Very simple, no disadvantages that come to mind. If your package is more extensive such as Discovery Magic, you may have to make a decision; I'd be surprised if they allow you to knock a day off passes included with the package. Just remember there is little or nothing of value in the packages that you can't buy ala carte, very likely for less.

According to the 2002 Disney's Discovery Magic booklet, Fulton's Crab House is 2 wishes no matter when you dine there (lunch or dinner).

For anyone booking a package with CRO/WDTC, please check out the DISavers. I'm using them and saving additional money on my WDW vacation package.

The only resort dining that I see that requires 2 wishes is the following:

* Flying Fish Café – 2 for dinner
* California Grill – 2 for dinner
* Citricos – 2 for dinner
* Narcoossee’s – 2 for dinner
* Yachtsman Steakhouse – 2 for dinner (but only 1 for breakfast or lunch)

- -

The only theme park dining that I see that requires 2 wishes is the following:

* Bistro de Paris -- 2 for dinner
* Coral Reef -- 2 for lunch or dinner

- - - - - - -

Of course with all things Disney, you'll have to verify upon check-in what 2002 Discovery Magic wishes are required for everything that you are allowed to do with that particular package.

goofygal - sorry that I can't answer your question.

Janet2k - I do have a question for you. (first off, I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful).

A lot of your posts you keep pushing about the new DIS saver thing that is being offered. I don't know if anyone else feels the same but it gets really annoying when you are reading a post and you keep repeating it over and over again. It just sounds really pushy and a real turnoff towards it. Why do you keep putting that on your posts. It's all over the boards anyway?

I also don't get how the DIS will make more money off of this vs the commissions that Disney would pay them.

Ga9497, new people come to the Dis every day. Most people do not read every post (I know that I don't), nor does everyone read the "anchored" posts every time (I know that I don't). I like seeing people offer tips for just about everything vacation-related. I enjoy seeing people point people at the Dis' webpages that are devoted to cost saving tips, and I enjoy seeing people point people at the Mousesavers' webpages that are devoted to cost saving tips. The DISavers is a new service that will also potentially help people save money on top of any DC, AP, or code that they may be able to secure. Of course there is a break-even point for this additional discount, and that is why people should go to the DISavers' webpages, so that they can make an informed decision as to what is good for their own vacation needs. Since you have questions as to the Dis/Dreams reasons for offering a service such as this, you should post your concerns on their new board: DISavers Message Board. A lot of people have had the same question as you. Check it out.

I appreciate all money saving tips.:)
