I know there have been a couple of posts re: adding people to existing ADRs, but I never paid attention to them because I didn't think I would be put in that situation. Well, I thought wrong! And I can't find those darn threads now that I need them  My mom decided she wants to tag along and now I need to add her to all the ADRs that I have made. Will it be a pain to add one more person to our party of five? I would hate to cancel all of our ADRs because I have been looking forward to these meals for a LONG time ('Ohana, H&V Fantasmic Package, Chef Mickey's, Sci-Fi, Le Cellier, and WCC).

Rule of thumb is table size...your a party of five...therefore you normally are seated at a table for six....so shouldn’t be an issue...same for moving from three to four....but if your four moving to five they have an issue with table size...then you need a larger table and one that might not be available...

Possibly - I just had to do the same thing, switch from 5 to 6 (4 adults, 1 child, 1 infant). It all depended on where they had me seated for each ADR. Is one of your party an infant? I think that makes the difference: at some restaurants, they had me at a table for four, plus a highchair. These had to be canceled and new ADR's made for a table of 6. Other places, they already had me at a table for 6 and no change was necessary.

Last year we made ADRs 3 months in advance. My sister-in-law and brother-inlaw live in Daytona so thay can just pop over at any time.
They went with us to Le Cellier and Kona , just called in a week before our vacation with our reservation numbers and added 2 people to the reservation. They paid out of pocket and we had the dining plan at the same table. We have 2 different checks at the table..No porblem.
Doin it again this year. Last week in Sept.

I just tried to do the opposite. I originally make ADRs for a party of 5, and now there will only be 3 of us. I tried to change the party size and was told I would have to make new ADRs. Since we leave next week, there is no way I will get the original dining times or even the same restaurants. Will this be an issue when we show up at the restaurants?

I was just wondering about the same thing. I just booked free dining for September, and one of the people coming may have to drop out. It will be going from 4 adults to 3 adults. I shouldn't have too much trouble with that change if needed though right?? Since in theory (and according to the replies here) we would be seated at a 4 person table either way??

Huh. There were a few times when I changed ADR's from 4 to 2 without a problem. We had the same ressie number too. :confused3

Well, I just got off the phone and was able to add my mom to 5 out of the 6 ADRs. The only restaurant I could not add her on to was WCC...I was told that we would be seated at a table for 5. Sigh.

83% isn't bad at all! :)

Oh, I know! Sorry if it sounded like I was ungrateful...I was actually suprised I was able to add another person to most of my ADRs (I just wish I was able to add her to ALL of them, lol!).

Sorry, didn't mean it to sound like that. I was happy you did as well as you did, judging by the problems others seemed to have had. :thumbsup2 Enjoy your vacay! :wizard:
