We want to add on 50 poiints at either Boardwalk Villas or Beachclub. Can someone tell me what cost per point DVC is offering for an add on. We are also considering resale, does anyone know anything about Fidelity Real Estate for resales. Any good or bad experiences with them.

Thank so much.

To add to that.....

My in-laws are the primary members and we (the kids) are all associate members. Can DH and I add-on to their contract, or do we end up buying a contract of our own?

We are attending a doorway to dreams event. If the incentive is good, we could think about adding 50 points if we can find a same UY. But WE don't want to be the members--yet. We'll let them pay the MFs for now.

I figure the primary members have to do the adding on. I'm guessing they would do it and we'd give them the money. But they aren't around when the event is occurring.

That's why I ask.

TIA and sorry for the slight hijack.

No, you can not add on to their existing membership. Any contract in your and your DH's name would be your own. There seems to be some indication that Disney is now allowing new owners in with as little as 50 points which may work in your favor and allow you to become your own members.

The only other way is as you said, your parents would be adding on to their own contract with you giving them the money to do so. It would not make you members and you would still remain associate members.

Good luck!

BWV and BCV now cost more than any other property except BLT when buying direct. $115/pt.

Fidelity used to be GMAC and is the broker recommended by DVC. They are legit but I haven't used them so hopefully someone else will comment on any experiences.

I highly recommend The Timeshare Store. They are excellent to deal with. We have bought from them in the past and are doing an add on through them currently.

Isnt GMAC the company that charges a $695 "administration fee"?

I used Jerry at TSS and was happy with what I got! I would recommed TSS too!

Fidelty charges a 195.00 administration fee to all sales paid by buyer on top of closing cost. If buying a small contract do the MATH. Price per point may look good but then adding in closing and the 195.00 fee it may not work out as such a good deal. The 195.00 fee alone brings up the price per point by 4.00 a point based on a 50 point contract.

We bought our first points thru Fidelity. It was a very easy and clean transaction. That being said, they do charge an admin fee of $195. If you want to avoid that, you can go thru Jaki and Kimm's site (www.resalesdvc.com). They coop their leads and can sell you any listing that Fidelity has and do so without you having to pay the admin fee. I do not think that the TSS is a coop broker and if you want to go thru them, you are limited only to their listings.
