Hi everyone :wave2:

In 2002, my family and I bought 160 points at BCV, figuring we'd stay at a studio every April. Since then, we've changed our vacation time to July, alternating between a studio and a one bedroom every other year. As I'm sure you can imagine, we've become veeery attached to the one bedroom. We're looking to add on points to our ownership, but the person I talked to at DVC said we can only add on points at Saratoga. I also got the impression that if we do that, then our home resort will change to Saratoga. We absolutely want our home resort to stay at the Beach Club. Is there a way to add more points without changing our home resort? Or, is there a way to buy more points at the Beach Club?

Thanks for your help

The person you talked to is.... either mis-informed or a Yankees fan !!! As a DVC member(or anyone else for that matter) you can add on at your current resort (BCV) if and when points come available. SInce you are already a DVC member, you can add on as little as 25 points...again...when BCV points are available.

You should have a MS guide assigned to you which maybe Joan Lane, since Joan seems to handle most of us from Mass. Call Joan and tell her what you want to do and she will be able to take care of it.

Even if you did decide to add on with SSR, your original BCV points do not change as far as home resort...you would simply have two home resorts.

I think you're right, he must have been a Yankee fan! :rotfl2:
Thank you very much for the help. That makes a lot more sense. Our guide is Megan Moriarty. We absolutely love her. She is so nice. She was on vacation when I talked to the other guy. Which made me wonder, where do you go on vacation when you work at WDW???
